Is there a list somewhere I can see what restaurants I would need to dress up for? I know Victoria and Albert's for sure, but I don't know which other ones.

Other than V&A - you don't "need" to dress up for any - but you might want to consider something other than shorts and tees for Shulas, Citros, Narcoosies, Cali Grill and Yachtsmans...

That's what I was asking. I don't want to feel weird if I'm underdressed, so I wanted to know ahead of time.

Typically the restaurants labeled "signature" are the ones some folks feel the need to dress up for. As far as Disney is concerned the only one you must dress up for is V&A. As long as you follow the not permitted list which is Not permitted: Tank tops, swimwear, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing. While T-shirts are now allowed, the policy remains that T-shirts with offensive language or graphics are not acceptable. You will be fine with whatever you want to wear.

Also - please pardon my spelling - fingers don't want to work on a Monday - should be Citricos and Narcoossees - also Jiko is nice and Artist Point and Monseiur Paul.

My rule is that, if the Signature restaurant is in a theme park (i.e. Le Cellier), theme park attire is fine. If it is a Signature at a resort -- or even Disney Springs -- we will dress nicely. Jiko, California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Citricos, Narcoossees, Artist Point, etc. You will never feel under dressed if you put a little effort into it!

I would dress nicely for any of the signature restaurants outside of the parks. If I chose a park sig, I'd have to be staying at a resort close by for it to be worth it to freshen up and change. I don't consider Le Cellier or HBD signature experiences so I wouldn't worry about wearing park clothes. I have no desire to eat at either, though! Tiffins seems casual for lunch.

I was just about to ask about Tiffins. Is T-shirt and shorts acceptable in Tiffins? We will be in AK all day and if I'm too casual in T-shirt and shorts for Tiffins, I have to skip Tiffins. I'm one of those people who hates dressing up so rather skip "nice" restaurants even at home if I had to dress up.

ABSOLUTE agreement. You nailed it :). We go to all of these - and several others (Il Mulino and Artist's Point come to mind) - and pretty much GET who actually cares about the SIG Dress Code.... :).

you're not too casual in a t-shirt and shorts for any signature, but especially not the park restaurants. people may argue but it is their opinion, not Disney's. Disney is happy to take your money and you will see all levels of dress even at resort signatures. Some may turn their nose up at it but it happens and you won't be the only one.

We are dining at California Grill in early December and will be going into the MK for extra magic hours after dinner.

We are staying at an Epcot area resort so going back to the room to change is not an option. Our attire will be weather dependent but most likely jeans, decent tops and park shoes. We will definitely not be dressed up.

Will we be ok?

Of course, individuals will vary on what they are comfortable with wearing and I don't concern myself with other diners' clothing. Lunch in t-shirt/shorts at Tiffins would be fine. I'd rather not wear park clothes to dinner there but you know others will be casual just based on its location, so I can't imagine you'd feel under-dressed or anything. My own preference for my family is to dress for dinner out, probably because it's usually a special event for us. We hardly ever do it at home. We don't look like we're on our way to a cotillion, but shirts have collars and I'll wear a dress...likely with an empire waist for eating comfort!:D

I knew exactly what you meant!

Thanks for the advice everyone! That's kind of how I feel, but I've only ever done Le Cellier as a signature, so I wasn't sure!

my kiddo wore his space mountain tshirt to ca grill because he wanted to take a picture of him with space mountain in the background from there with space mountain on his shirt. It's disney and he wore a disney tshirt and cargo shorts right at opening. I wore a plain (non logo) tshirt (so a little nicer v-neck) with capris. we were fine. The table behind us had little girls in pretty dresses and they were fine. I only noticed because they showed up in some later photos. It's your vacation. Don't be an utter disgusting slob with bad hygiene and anyone who has a problem with the rest should go to a fancy restaurant with an actual dress code if it is that important to them!

This is kind of my thinking. I mean...I am on vacation. I'm not going to pack extra clothes specifically to eat dinner in. I was just curious about what other people did.

You should be fine at Tiffin's. We ate in shorts and t-shirts. It was lunch though. It's in a park, so don't worry too much. I think Monsieur Paul specifically spells out their dress code, but I don't worry about any of the other park signatures.

You will see the full gamut from date night attire to sweaty I think you stink and I don't want to sit next to you attire

Be prepared to be the best dressed or the worst dressed. If you don't care I don't care

Unless you stink. Then I don't want to sit next to you but I still don't care:stir:

Personally we do dress nice for most signatures. I like to every so often, and signature dining is perfect excuse.

We change to go to dinner at YSH but we no longer stay in the parks all day . We go back to our hotel and go to the pool weather permitting. I wear capri or regular pants with a tank top with either a light sweater or 3/4 sleeve shirt and DH wears dress shorts or khaki pants & a polo or long sleeve shirt ( depends on the weather).Nothing more than we would do on vacation in Vegas , San Diego or San Francisco when eating out at a nice restaurant. It is part of what we pack. That said other than V & A you will be fine in park attire in any restaurant. Personally I don't care what other people wear only rude behavior bothers me.

If we are going to enjoy a signature meal, if its located in the resorts we tend to spruce up a bit more than signatures in the Parks. While both have great food and atmosphere, remembering where and what your plans are is how we decided and when making ADR's and all the plans I do take this into consideration.

V&A - must dress up... no wiggle room here.

I pack at least 2 casual dresses, or dress ( sundress, or beachy style) and a skirt & top, 1 or 2 pairs of Capri's black and khaki w/ tops, then different shorts styles, and tops, I really don't wear classic T-shirts except at home, I have found some nicer V-neck t-shirt style that do the trick for me. Depending on the weather a light sweater, or long sleeve linen or denim shirt depending on what I have packed. Cute but comfortable shoes. ( I love shoes!!!!)

DH - A pair or two of Khakis, jeans, nice shorts and cargo shorts. A couple of S/S button ups, a couple of polo shirts, and some nice solid pull over crew neck shirts ( Greg Norman) and a few printed T-shirt( salt life, Columbia), deck shoes, flip flops,

DD's when at home - We kept it simple, a basically the same as me, with their styles of course. More printed t-shirts, and jean shorts.

We are a family that takes that midday break, pool and or nap so for us to change and get freshened up is not a problem.
