dressing for signature dining

How do you dress when going to eat at a signature dining restaurant? What would you consider over dressed or under dressed

Despite the wording of it, it is still VERY casual. Most people can wear what they wear into the theme parks with a few exceptions. From the Disney Dining Plan Brochure:

Do any restaurants have a dress code?
A. Yes, the following Signature Restaurants have a business casual dress code:
Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Flying Fish Cafe at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
Jiko – The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts

Men: Dress slacks, jeans, trousers, or dress shorts, short- or long-sleeved shirt with a
collar or t-shirt required. Jackets are optional.

Ladies: Jeans, skirt, or dress shorts with blouse, sweater or t-shirt, or a dress required.

Not permitted: tank tops, swimsuits or swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut offs,

I usually wear a skirt or capris with a blouse and sandals. DH wears slacks and a collared shirt with loafers. I consider t-shirts and sneakers underdressed. I dont think you can be really overdressed but a suit and cocktail dress seems out of place but mostly because of the climate.

There will be people there in t-shirts, shorts and sneakers. But I would consider that underdressed. Me, I am going to dress nicer when I plop down $75 a head for dinner. I dress as PP said, slacks, collared shirt and loafers. Women in slacks or skirt and nice blouse...or a nice dress Suit and tie and even cocktail dress would not be out of place, but would be slightly overdressed in my view.

Depending on plans for the day, what restaurant we are going to, who we are going with, what the purpose is, etc is how we chose what to wear.

We have gone straight from the parks, we have gone back to the room put on clean short outfits, clean pants outfits, etc.

As long as you don't wear swimsuits / muscle shirts, flip flops you are good to go.

I generally always wear khaki capri and a nice blouse w/ sandals
DH where's khaki shorts w/ button down hawaiin shirt w/ sneakers he is not wearing loafers for no one!
Kids always dressed adorable!

I usually do a skirt with a dressier T and sandals. I put my boys in short sleeved polo shirts with cute plaid shorts. Sometimes they will wear a short sleeved dress shirt with khakis if it is one of the formal signatures (Citricos). My DH will usually wear khakis with a polo shirt or dress shirt. We enjoy dressing up for a nice meal out, it's part of the fun for us!

I wear capris and a nice top and my dh wears jeans and a polo.
