Dressing for March Trip

Ok...this may sound dumb, but I could use some tips on dressing for the weather next week. High is averaged for 72 next week. Jeans or shorts? Is it too cool in the morning for shorts? Too hot in the afternoon for jeans? I live in TX and 72 means differently things depending on the wind. Thanks for any advice.

We have been to California the past 2 years in March. Both times we were there, the temps were around 65. For us, that is short/capri weather. We would wear hoodies in the mornings and evenings, and bask in the sun during the day. However, we are Utahns, and this week has highs in the 50's and everyone thinks it is summer!

I was just at the park two weeks ago and am heading down again this weekend...my plan this time of year usually is get a locker and stash jeans and a jacket when we arrive, wear shorts and a light jacket or light hoodie in AM, ditch jacket as it warms up, go to locker and change into jeans at sunset and grab either the light or heavier jacket for the evening depending on how cold it is or late we are staying and I am a happy camper!
