Dressing for Florida weather in October

Good point, but can be addressed with body glide available at sporting good stores. Helps immensely with chafing. I even put it on my feet. If you are accustomed to wearing maxi dresses, you'll likely be fine, but that's too much fabric for me. I run on the hot side!

Good tip!

Yeah, no kidding. I think we hit 8 weeks of below freezing temps and many weeks of below zero, so FL is never cold for me. I've been there the last 2 weeks of Oct, the week before Christmas and in February and never, ever wore a jacket and only one time wore a pair of pants. Always shorts. Capris would be good as well, but I don't own those, they look weird on me. I have skinny ankles. :rotfl:

Capris would be an option too I suppose...I haven't bought any in FOREVER though and I hate showing off my pasty white legs. :rotfl: Maxi dresses I already have on hand. I am already throwing enough dough at this vacation I don't want to have to buy a whole new wardrobe too lol. We will be right at the beginning of October so I'm thinking I'll be safe just packing a few things in case of a cool night. Otherwise I'm betting I'll be warm the whole time.

:rotfl: OMG I do this too!!! Like, as soon as I reserved our trip I was ready to pull out the suitcase and start organizing our outfits!! I feel like I'm such a dork :lmao:

That reminds me I need to buy two more carry on sized suitcases! One we are packing with all of DD's Disney related bday gifts and we will wrap it and give it to her two days before we leave to amp up the WDW excitement.

I always wear skirts (old navy fold over skirt) or sun dresses. I dont have a leg chafing issue. No problem flashing anyone, as long as you remember that your in a skirt. NBD at all, I wear skirts all of the time.
I dont wear Maxi because they slide down and I hate hiking them up(small top) and I need a strapless bra= uncomfy for me.
I am going in oct too. I will bring sweaters and carpi for nights because I am always cold, really anything under 80, I am in pants and a sweater.

Looks like you are going to be there when we are!

I went the last week of October about 5 years ago, it was record highs in the 90's.

We went last year same time it was in the 90's for half of the trip:/

Um, I'm visiting my parents tomorrow and am bringing home with me an extra piece of luggage that I "think" I'll need for my vacation in OCTOBER! :rotfl:

My dad asked why I needed it so soon? Um, dad? Don't worry! ;)

I kind of hope it's still pretty warm, we'll be there during the last two weeks of the month. I'm bringing shorts/skirts. I was only bringing one pair of jeans, to wear on the plane there and back. Maybe I'll throw in a couple long sleeve tops and I will have a lightweight jacket.

I hope it's not in the 40's!! :crazy2:

I should ask my parents about their luggage...although I am not sure if they have smaller bags. I really don't want to check anything and I think we can each get away with one carry on sized bag. Assuming they let my 3 year old bring one as well.

OMG - us too. We were bummed on the first day when it was raining. Stupid, stupid us. The sun was BLAZING the rest of the time, and the humidity was out of hand. If it's like that again, wear as little as you are comfortable wearing. I wore a t-shirt and athletic pants, and I was too hot by 9:30 a.m. at DHS.

We're going to be there 9 nights, just two of us (adults). I have one suitcase (which barely fit my clothes for only 4 nights), my boyfriend has another, so I think we'll need the third. We will check our luggage - we each get one free checked bag, so we'll only have to pay for one.
I'll have 4 pairs of shoes, he'll have 2, so that takes up some room....

And we'll each have a carry on bag, but not huge, just like an overnight bag.

Okay, maybe I'm bringing a lot of stuff! :rotfl:

That's understandable though, if my trip was 9 nights I would need twice the luggage!!! We are only doing 4 nights/5 days. Wish we could stay longer but they can't do without me at work for that long right now. Booooooo! :sad1:

We don't go very often and this is definitely our longest trip to Disney. The two of us haven't been on a long trip together for a while and we won't be back until after they open Avatarland, so we wanted to make the most of it.

I do get a little nervous that it may be too long, but I don't let anyone in my real life know that! :rotfl:

They will, All passengers with a ticket are allowed a carry on bag. I always utilized this with my daughter. Last time we flew she was four, I packed a little bag for her to carry (to feel like she was involved) but that would fit inside a larger carry on. That way, I had two carry ons and just threw her little bag inside one of mine before we got on the plane. Worked perfectly.

Awesome, we should be able to get by then!

It's very warm to me. I went to the Halloween MNSSHP last year and I was sweating the whole time. I find November to be much more pleasant. I would pack summer wear, jeans and maybe a light jacket if you think you'll need it; but you won't.
