Can anyone who has been on the 4 night disney cruise give me some advice on what to wear for dinner.i know on this cruise they dont have a formal night but i would like to look smart but not over the top.on one night i was thinking about wearing white trousers and a coral silk top with a small amont of beading on and matching shoes.would the beading be too dressy? also do you dress up more for one of the restaurant or are they all the same [iknow you dress up for Palos but i am just thinking about the regular restaurants] hope you can help with my questions does anyone have any pictures that would be a great help.

I think the coral silk top would be perfect. You can be as dressy as you want. I pretty much wore capris and either a tank top (with beading as you see in the picture) or tropical type shirt. The night we went to Triton's I did wear a dress, but I still wore my sandles. DH wore khakis and tropical or polo shirts and then on Triton's night he wore a shirt and tie with his khakis (we had taken dress slacks, but came to find out they didn't fit anymore once we were on board).

Thank you for your reply cristit14 can you tell me do many of the ladys wear dresses.

You obviously can wear most anything you want to dinner on whatever night, the wonder is much more casual than the magic, and since the new casual rules for dinner, even the magic's dining rooms are very casual for dinner. Even jeans are allowed. It is excellent, so don't over pack and enjoy your cruise.

The outfit you described will not be too dressy for Triton's. Lots of us wear dresses there as well. DH and I enjoy dressing nice one night. I wear a dress to Triton's and he wears slacks, shirt and tie. He adds a jacket and I wear a dressier dress for Palo's.

I did see dresses in addition to capris and slacks. It seems like I saw mostly sundresses and nothing really fancy, but we didn't do Palo on the 4 day.

We are on the 8/20 Magic Rep. Trying to determine what is meant by semi-formal. Formal I get but unsure what semi formal is as compared to "dressing for dinner." On most cruises we dress for dinner...summer dresses or skirts and blouses.

When DW and I did the Wonder on 11/28/04, she wore dresses two times. She wore a dress to Palo's (our anniversary dinner) and then wore a dress to Triton's (and the show before, which was the Golden Mickeys). Many people dressed almost formally for dinner at Tritons and treated it as a special occaision (which any cruise should be, imho) and everyone was dressed nicely for dinner at Palo's.

Make it special and dress up a little! :groom:

Monday is "dress-up night" per the Navigator. I wore a skirt/sweater set that I wear to work and church. DH wore black slacks, white dress shirt, tie, and silk jacket. DD11 wore a skirt set. We were dressed "with the majority". I saw a LOT of men in suits, whereas I had been led to believe DH would be in the minority. A "little black dress" or pantsuit would be absolutely perfect.
I saw one evening gown.

On Sunday, I wore a capri set and flat sandals. Tuesday, a wrap-around tropical print skirt and red top with flat sandals. Wednesday, a skort that looks like a skirt from both directions (some look like shorts from the back).

Hope you have a blast!
Melanie

I think I've got the picture. Thanks for your input. We usually dress so we should be ok. Thanks again. :sunny:
