I was just reading a magazine where it was making fun of the stars that had been caught dressing alike. They weren't in the exact same outfit, but similar. This got me thinking of couples I have seen in the parks and thought that it might make for an interesting poll... so...

What do you think of couples wearing matching outfits to the parks? I am not talking about the groups that wear homemade shirts that say something to the effect of "Smith family reunion 2005" and such or children wearing the same shirt as mom or dad. This is more for the couples that wear matching hawaiian shirts, entire outfits, or the like.

I hope my poll choices cover enough options...

Well, almost always my 3 girls match. 1/2 the time, mom matches closely (usuallly not exactly), & I try to wear a similar color. We do have 2 outfits that match us completely.....yeah, so I'm corny.

It was great when the kids were small, made it easy to keep an eye on them especially in crowds. Now that they're older they choose their own clothes.

We do live in New England however and we have several Championship shirts to proudly wear this summer.....and we may just all wear them on the same day!!!! :)

Well I used to get the same things as my sister (4 yrs younger) all the time and hated it. Now that I have my girls I purposely do not buy them matching outfits (they are 3 yrs apart) That is until Disney. I just found for packing and safety and to easily spot them I wanted them to match the last time we went. I didn't have to much to work with, similar colours maybe.

This time I've been shopping already and purchased matching outfits, either same colour or coordinating colours. I have been able to find chaep, cheap stuff basically buying last year's summer clothes for $2-$5! I have bought some full price items too cute to pass up :teeth:

As for the couples, I do think it's cute but I wouldn't do it. It's just not our style but I do think the family shirts are a cute idea.

Funny story for you! My family (2 adults, 3 little kids) all have red sweatshirts/fleeces. They aren't identical, just all red. So one day last month we were wearing them into MGM since it was chilly. The CM at the ticket gate says to us, "Hey Look, it's Team Green camoflauged as Team Red!". We got the biggest laugh out of that because we usually call ourselves Team Red when we are wearing them.

I don't mind Team "color" families, they look cute and it's very easy to keep track of kids this way. Identical shirts/outfits are a little bit much.

We dress similarly sometimes on the Disney Cruises and in WDW. This is something we'd not be able to get away with at home. ;)

As a family I love it!

Just as a couple I find it odd.

I love dressing my DH and DS the same :flower:

I voted for silly, but at WDW, I did see a family who all had the same fluorescent yellow shirts on. They had 2 little ones and that way they could identify eachother easily in crowds. I'd go for that. I'd never want to feel the feeling of losing my children in a crowd. They're too small.

I suggested that the 3 of us wear matching shirts at WdW but was told by DD 13 that if I ever talked that way again she would recommend a good doctor.I told her her that no one she knew would ever see her but she figures that if we did it that is the picture that would some how end up on the internet or worse yet the family Christmas card.

I think it looks silly and we would never do it.

I said silly based on the "as a couple" part. DH and I have never dressed to match and highly doubt we ever will!

Now the kids are totally different as are parent/child combo! We have a DD4 and DS2. I have dressed them for holidays and pictures in coordinating clothes. I bought DS and DH matching shirts from Polo.

For my DD's first birthday my mom made her a really beautiful dress and me a skirt to match.

I am planning to find some matching disney sundresses for DD and I this summer. Hopefully something to coordinate for DS. Maybe DH but I doubt we'd go that far!

Forgot to add: DH and DS had matching Pittsburgh Steeler Jerseys. DD had a Steeler Cheerleader dress too.

Not that I feel the need to justify, but my girls are all between the ages of 3-9. I know in a year or two, it will all end, so I am making the most of it while they still like it! (they're only little for a short while)

My kids are too old to want to dress alike and my husband and I would feel "goofy" if we wore the same shirt! However, traditionally on our first day in the Magic Kingdom we each wear a shirt with Mickey on it. The shirts are all different but the theme is the same and it reminds us how happy we are being together at Walt Disney World!

As a couple we don't, but Im all for the family dressing! LOL
Especially while the boys are little. Normally we all have a matching tshirt we wear on MK day and the boys always match because it is easier to find them and people know they are together if a situation should occur.

They match at home too, but Dh and I only in WDW.

I think it looks so funny to see an entire family all decked out in their bright t-shirts and always wonder how much the family spent to have matching shirts for their entire vacation.

As for couples dressing alike... I must admit when DH and I went in 2000 we both had Mickey Mouse Club shirts and wore them with jeans. We thought we were cute, but I am sure we got a few stares. We have since used those shirts to dress up as Mousekateers for MNSSHP. If my scanner was working, I would show you. It actually looked kind of cute.

I would never do it, but that's because I went to Catholic school and have had enough of dressing the same as other people!!

The matching outfit idea is cute for some people but I won't even wear the same color shirt as anyone else I'm going with. Not that long ago I went with my mom to the gym and we both had on grey t-shirts and black pants. I had to go and change, I felt too goofy. The funny thing is that last year my ds's afternoon bus driver told me how cute is was that ds and I were always dressed in the same colors  I never realized this because I don't get dressed until after he leaves for school and I never plan what we are going to wear. I guess it's just the mood I'm in.

Unless you're a little kid, it think it's pretty lame. My DH doesn't even like to wear the same color t-shirts (i.e., if I'm wearing my white "where magic lives" t shirt, he'll be sure to wear a colored t-shirt.)
I do have to say that when the families wear the same color t-shirt it must make for easy packing and easy spotting in crowds, but why are they always horrible colors like bright orange or electric green!?!?
And as far as cost, I bet you can get the plain t-shirts at Walmart for around $5 each...it's when everyone's wearing their purple "where magic lives" t-shirts that you KNOW some coin was dropped!!

I wouldn't dress the same as my husband. But, we did it for our kids for a couple of days and it worked great. They each had tie-dye shirts from their day care and it worked perfect to keep an eye on them.
