dresses for the park

I tend to do Old Navy dresses that are super lightweight. I ordered a Carly from LuLaROe for my upcoming trip. Excited to try it out!

I have several Carlys for our beach trip this summer. They are really comfortable, and not dress-like at all (I hate dresses). Bonus is that I can wear them to work, as they are longer than knee length.

I wear sundresses from Tommy Bahama all the time. I like the cut of their sundresses, the "skirt" part is not full or flared at all so I have never had any problem with the dress being blown up from the wind. They are very cool and comfortable and "wear" well, they don't get super wrinkly. They are all super cute!

I bought one from Old Navy for our last September trip and it was the coolest I've been in ages! Compression shorts underneath.

HS had some awesome star wars dresses that I found in December. Super cute, comfortable and disney. Cant go wrong. I also got a beauty and the beast dress from hot topic. I too did the safety shorts. Mine were just black workout shorts I was lucky to find at walmart for about $15. They did the job well for our nearly 7 week trip and were a blessing on TOT. Still in good condition will be able to use them on future trips. I was able to wear my dresses with my black nike freeruns for the long days of walking. You can checkout hot topic online and the disney dresses will be online too if they are still available.
Happy shopping:-)

Oh and they were all fast drying. Hand wash and ring ,then hung on a coat hanger to dry in wardrobe overnight. No creases too the material was amazing supersoft and light.

I like LLR as suggested above. I also have several tank style dresses from Fabletics that can easily be made business casual but throwing a jacket over them.

Hey guys.

So I'm going crazy here trying to plan this trip without actually planning too much in case we can't go...so I thought I'd maybe look into something fun. Clothes :)

So. We are thinking about the park in September...so it's going to be hot and possibly wet. I also want to look cute (who doesn't??). I love dresses but I'm not sure what kind would work best...Maybe skater?

I would love for a romper....but I'm short..and skinny with hips...so rompers look just SO BAD (although I do keep trying...why do they have to be so cute on the hanger and not on me?)

I know the sports dresses from like LL Bean may work...but most of the one's I've seen aren't super cute..so I'm not sold. Also since I work in an office they don't look all that business casual so I wouldn't be able to pretend I'm buying clothes for work and not Disney :D

so

those of you that wear dresses in the park; what style/brand/material works best for you? bonus points for fast drying

I love wearing dresses to the parks, we always go in hot weather (June/Aug/Oct), I like to look nice for our pics, but I'm also thrifty cheap too lol. Like maybe even dirt cheap:P (bc I hoard the extra $ saved for fun spending while there).

I just keep my eyes open for clearance racks (even Goodwill/Thrift Stores) throughout the whole year to prep. I have a pleathra of comfy biker shorts to go underneath, and just look for any likeweight (gauzy cotton & dry fit are my faves) breathable sun dress that fits "right" (I'm small and have hips too. That makes it harder to buy w/o trying on lol). I typically stick with Disney colors, or bounding colors. But, no respecter to brand/store.

I wear tennis skirts (that look less tennis-y) from Athleta. Nike Pros work great under dresses, too.

Our cheerleaders live in Nike Pros and they come in every color. You can often catch flash sales at Dicks Sporting Goods or other sports stores. I think they work well as the waist wont roll like cheap versions.

Thank you! Those look great, especially because they come in several different lengths. Just ordered them through Zappos to wear for our first family trip to Orlando, which starts at the end of next week.

Awesome. Happy to help. For the last several years it's been a thing to wear under prom or homecoming dresses too... and to take pictures of yourself in a dress and Nike Ptos. This is one I just pulled from google images.

Any suggestions for what kinds of "safety shorts" are most comfortable? TIA!

I just got some cotton/poly/spandex blend shorts from the athletic department at Kohl's. They are Fila brand and very soft. I wanted to make sure they were long enough, so I wanted to try them on before buying. I love them.

If you are wanting Disney dresses I highly recommend Hot Topic. They have sales all the time and a good majority of the dresses are skater style. I have bought what I would call biker shorts from Walmart or Target to wear under dresses and skirts and they are pretty comfortable and if they are long ones they also help with chafing.

I'm already shopping for clothesure for Disney . Which is ridiculous since I've never been and have no idea what will work haha. I'm glad to see dresses work for some of you I love a jersey swing dress is the summer.

Good tip on the saftey shorts, I'll be sure to pack my Nike pros!
