Dress Update

Hey girls,

Wanted to let you all know that I went and spoke to the dress shop about my wedding dress on Monday. Fair to say the conversation got a little heated and a bit confrontational but I think it went ok.

They are trying to blame me and the bridesmaids for them getting it wrong (long story as to how they've reached that conclusion) but honestly, they can believe whatever they want provided they get the dress right eh?

At one point they tried to suggest that I'd have to pay almost $1000 extra to have it put right (this on a dress that cost abouut $1700 initially.) I think it was my face and my trying to hold back hysterical laughter that made them change thier tune pretty darned fast on that little ploy. They have come up with a solution that, provided they do exactly what they said, will work pretty much perfectly and not cost me a penny so that's what I have agreed to. It's expected to be finished by the end of July which is admittedly cutting it quite close but I'm feeling good about it so we'll see.

Too darned right she will! Helping the best man come up with material for his speech today lol!!! Scott's terrified as he can't think what I've got to tell him... Working on a little practical joke too!

One of the guys in my office did a best man speech at his brother's wedding last month. It was the funniest speech I have ever heard. (He practiced in the office before the big day so I got to hear it, it was a riot) One of the bridesmaids taped it and put it on YouTube.

Queenie, I am so glad the dress shop is going to make good on your dress. You are going to look like the gorgeous princess on your special day.
