Dress up clothes - What do you prefer?

I am sitting here getting ready for my date and I was thinking back to a conversatio I had with a friend. We were talking about what we would wear for certain occassions and I was asked if I would wear a skirt.

Thinking about it now, I dont really ever wear skirts..I dont like them. I would rather wear a short form fitting dress then wear a skirt.


Which leads me to the question...what do you prefer?

I wear whatever fits the occasion. I love skirts and dresses in the summer, any length, any style, whatever fits the occasion/event, jeans/slacks in the winter.

What are you wearing tonight? You better go get ready!

It depends. If I've worn pants in the past, I'd probably wear a dress/skirt. It also depends on where we're going and what we'll be doing afterwards.

As for dresses over skirts. It doesn't matter to me.

I'm torn between short skirts and pants. If I'm going to wear a skirt, might as well make it a short one.

I am wearing a short skirt. I hope there is no breeze, which is why I dont wear them often. I have on heels and thank goodness I am tan enough to not have to wear stockings.

Working Gal - I agree, if you are going to wear a skirt, it might as well be short.

I picked long skirt and top. I hate my legs, but I also am not fond of wearing pants.

I really like those long flowing skirts. I wear those to work all the time. They're roomy and comfy and I think they are really elegant looking.

I have a REALLY hard time finding dresses that fit on top and bottom, so I stick wtih skirts mainly... and if I'm going to bother shaving my legs for a skirt, I'm wearing a short one

I also hate my legs but they must not be too bad because I get a lot of compliments on them. I voted for short skirt and top, I love miniskirts.

When is your due date exactly?

I gotta hand it to you, I never wore short skirts when I was pregnant, let alone heels!

I agree with Aimeedyan...if I'm going through all the bother, I'm wearin' a short skirt!

Although...last week my boss told me I had to retire one of my skirts...apparently it's too short ... I asked her if it would help if I wore my thigh-high boots with it, but she didn't seem to think so...

The short skirt looked fine..after I read this thread this morning I had to ask DH at least 10x's but he said he would have told me to change (and he would have.)

And the heels were strappy sandals, but like I said, normally..I would rather wear a short dress.
