Hi. I remember reading on her a while back there is a company you can fed ex your dress to, they steam it and bring to your hotel then after the wedding they clean it and send it back home for you? Does anyone know which company this is, would you recommend using them? Thanks

The shop you're referring to is Carolyn Allen's in Orlando:
www.carolynallens.com

A lot of brides here have shipped their gown to them and had it dropped off on the wedding day (or day before). I used them for steaming all the dresses on the wedding day, for tux rentals, and utilized them in the cleaning of my gown. What they do is pick up your dress after and will send it to a wedding gown co. and have it professionally cleaned and preserved (if you want it to be).

The co. they use for cleaning (is actually in the town of my rival High School-random!) it's:
www.gownpreservation.com

They did great work-- (i checked & tore open the box once I got it) b/c my dress was absolutely FILTHY when all was said and done. Everything came out and it looks as if it's never been worn.

The entire process was very easy thanks to the great staff at Carolyn Allen's. I haven't seen a negative review of them-- so I'd say you're in good hands! Good Luck! :goodvibes

My wedding is in 11 days and I'm shipping out my dress tomorrow morning! They've really been wonderful about everything so far! :goodvibes

Also, you don't have to get your gown preserved or even cleaned - they will just put it in a box and send it back to you as-is. I saved a ton of money by having mine cleaned at a local dry cleaner and preserving it myself. :thumbsup2

Does anybody have the current pricing for Carolyn Allen's? I'm thinking I should probably start figuring this out...

I just called them and spoke to a guy by the name of Keith. He informed me depending upon the brides gown, it usually runs $85.00 and the additional Maid of Honor's dress and Groom's suit and Best Man's suit will run $20.00 each. He informed me to send him a detailed e-mail that can be found on their website and someone would get back to me.
