DD's dress has a all seqin top and the last time she tried it on, she was getting red under her arms. Any suggestions before the big day?

Let's see... maybe she could put BodyGlide or baby powder or even stick Hollywood Fashion Tape on the parts of her arms that rub on the sequins? Or maybe have a tailor sew bias tape over the edge of the sequins just under the arms? I've never thought about the side effects of wearing a sequined gown - it sounds painful!

I wore a dress for my girlfriends wedding that had sequins in the armpit. It was really uncomfortable. I kept tucking my wrap under my arms into the dress. I tried a few things that day, but really the best help was my frequent trips to the bar!

Haha omg I never thought about that either and I want a decked out dress! Will have to keep that in mind when going shopping!

the sequins around the top of my dress irritated my arms at my fittings too..I put baby powder so they wouldn't stick ...seemed to help because I don't remember it bothering me during the wedding or reception

Thanks for the suggestions. Dd is having her alterations done this tuesday, so we'll try some of them.
