Dress (not costume) for DD10 - where to find?

I'm not sure where else to put this post...

DD gets a dressy outfit for Christmas every year but this year will of course not need a velvet dress so decided to buy a nice outfit at DW to wear on Christmas day. Any ideas where we could shop till we drop - either resort or DT Disney I'm thinking? Have never looked for anything like this on previous trips to don't have the slightest clue.

Did you want to buy the dress at Disney or something to wear at Disney? If you want it to wear at Disney try E-Bay you will be amazed at what you can find. I bought adorable Disney clothes on E-Bay for our recent trip.

If you want to get a dress at Disney I really don't have a clue where you would look. Call Disney Merchandise and ask them, they could give you the best advice.
If you want a dress to bring along you could try David's Bridal Shop. They have some special occasion dresses for girls. They also have a web address just put in David's Bridal Shop and put . com after the shop.

If you are looking for a dressy holiday dress or outfit for a 10-year-old, I would recommend you shop before going to WDW. I have never seen anything like that in any shop. Kids clothes are limited to costumes, logo merchandise, and "resort" wear.

Many retailers sell holiday dresses that are not wintery fabrics. I know that Kid Gap has one and Gymboree has several holiday dresses that are silk and satin.

just went to the disney store today, they had plent of the costume holiday dresses, but something new too! regular dresses, for the holiday i presume, with just a hit of disney princess on them. So cute, getting 2 for my nieces to get pics done in. they have them on disneyshopping.com, and i'm sure they should have them in the dis store in DTD.

So cute, getting 2 for my nieces to get pics done in. they have them on disneyshopping.com, and i'm sure they should have them in the dis store in DTD.

Those are so cute! I am looking for something to buy at Disney - we were going to go to the spa then shop for a dress for her. Doesn't have to be super dressy just something nice. Anyway, sounds like she'll have a harder time finding something down there. Thanks for the help.

The World of Disney in DTD is owned by the Walt Disney Company.
DisneyShopping.com carries some Disney Store merchandise.
The World of Disney does not carry Disney Store merchandise.

The fancy dresses seen in the Disney Store (at the mall) and online will not be available at DTD.

I just don't want you to get all the way to World of Disney at WDW and be disappointed in not finding the dress you wanted.

Thanks, I'm really looking for something that we can't find back home either in the Disney Store or somewhere else in Calgary. It doesn't have to be Disney themed, just as my DD puts it "super cute"
