Okay, if I were the one to be wearing either of those dresses, I know that I would look best in the second...tight bodice that seems to suck in the flabby belly, necessary for me. BUT if I thought I could wear the first one, I would. AND YOU SO CAN!!! Look how flat your stomach is! For your body, you look way skinnier in the first dress!!!

I like them both! The first one I think is more flattering though. But I love pick up dresses!! I'm wearing one for my wedding!

I like the second one best. I think it is more flattering for your body type but you need to go with the dress that you feel is 'the one' when on.

I really really appreciate everyone's responses, and no, I did not think that this was going to be cut and dry. Some of the comments are really helpful though.

Well, here's an update. We went back to the store yesterday with a different aunt and my grandma. They didn't like the straight one at all, so that was a downer. Then they went searching for more, so I tried on every style of dress I believe there is, :scared: Well, now I've seen many types and really liked another, but I am heeding some advice from this board to continue looking.

The question now is, instead of which dress (not that they're out of the question yet) but I am now starting a poll on which style of dress looks best on me. I like some and not others, but those who saw me try them on, again, had differing opinions. I'm curious about what the DISers think...

I really appreciate all of your comments and opinions...and no, I don't get offended, hey, you may see something I don't!!!

So enjoy looking at some more pics and PLEASE VOTE!!! popcorn::

I AM STILL GOING WITH THE "PRINCESS" TYPE!!!

When I look at all the pictures to me you look comfortable in that dress too!!! Believe me YOU need to feel comfortable!!

i voted for the princess style before i saw the side shot in the straight one...a stunner imo

I like the princess one, but I don't like that particular dress. I don't like pickups, but I think you look best in that dress. As someone said you look comfy and natural (for lack of a better word).

You'll know when you find the dress. You'll have that "wow!" moment. :goodvibes

I think you carry off the straight one very well and it looks great on you. It would be perfect for a small wedding, a vow renewal, an older bride or a 2nd wedding.

The "princess" dress is perfect for a very young bride, a huge weddding or someone very young at heart.

You look great in both. Good luck.

I love the a-line dress it looks great on you . I wish I was getting married again I love looking at dresses . I just don't want to go through all that AGAIN .

I couldn't decide for sure so I chose the first two. I think they both look great on you.

Thank you all for your nice comments and your votes!!!

Guess I still should go looking. The store that my sister and I really like is getting a lot more in (they don't know where they're going with them) in the next few weeks so I'll be stopping by more often...and more pics (for those who don't mind looking :rolleyes1 )

I still have to find a store that has this dress:

Yes, it's a Maggie, but Impression Bridal also makes the same dress. This is actually a dress that I fell in love with a year ago when my friend was getting married and was showing me different designers and websites! I have not forgot it since!!! Maybe it'll be the one I end up with :lovestruc

I voted princess - but you look lovely in them all :)
