OK, I found my perfect dress back in May. I paid $100 for a hallow to hem with 21/2 inch heels on so the manufacture would make my dress to the correct length. Other wise, if the dress shop had to hem it it would cost around $300 because the bottom of my dress is lace and so intricate. My dress came in in June. The dress shop recommended I go to this bra lady because I am big busted and have a hard time finding a strapless bra that fits correctly. I took my dress and the bra the lady brought out according to her fit me perfect. I was relieved because I always had a bra issue.

So Last night I went for my first fitting. The seamstress tells me the bra does not fit correctly and you can see it. It needs some nip and tucks in it. Then, I put my shoes on, this time they were 3 inch heels. The dress is too long about 1 inch, even with the higher shoe. I explained I paid for the special hem and got measures in lower heels and she was surprised it was too long. At this point I am worried. The sales girls came in to look and agreed its too long. They did not want to do anyting until the manager sees it. They did say if its thier fault they will take care of it but now they probably have to cut the dress up and I don't want them too. That is why I paid to have it made to length. I am so frustrated!

To top it all off the lady I have been speaking with can not remember my name. She called on my cell phone today asking for a Michelle. I said this is not Michelle and had to explain that I am the bride and my name is Daniella. How hard is it to look in my file to get the name right!

I did everyting the dress shop advised and its not right! Even if its the manufactures mistake, I am refusing to pay for it. I go back tomorrow with my mom so the manager can see it. Everthing was going so nice until now.

Gosh I'm sorry to hear that. Thats terrible. I'm sure the dress will be fixed and it will still look beautiful on you!!

I know its frustrating....I dont know why so many bridal shops screw up things....its not rocket science

Anyway, just make your note & meet with the manager.

If she doesnt get this resolved at no cost & not quick enough, look up the attorney general or better business bureau, or if its a chain, call corporate & complain.
I hope it doesnt get to that point......my girlfriend had a bad experience that brought her to tears....I went with her ready for battle, but they worked it out.

Good luck & dont get to stressed...stay calm unless they wont accomadate:hug:

Somehow it will all work! :goodvibes I can understand your frustration though. My sister had a similar problem when she ordered her dress hallow to hem except instead of being too long it was 3 inches too short :worried: Even with her knees bent it didn't touch the ground. The bridal salon she had order it from was not helpful at all and blamed the company - they didn't even apologize for the mistake and actually tried to tell her it looked nice that way! Luckily the seamstress was able to work her magic and somehow found nonexistent fabric around the waist to make it the right length. It turned out perfectly... well after an angry phone call from the father of the bride and tons of stress. I agree that you shouldn't have to pay for the hem if it was done incorrectly but unfortunately we did not receive the money back for it and even had to pay more for the extra alterations. I wouldn't let that stop you from asking for it back though, hopefully you will have better luck in that department than we did. Make sure they know the mistake they made and that you will not except anything less than perfect. Sometimes I think that because they deal with wedding dresses on a daily basis they forget this is not something we have done before. I'm sure they will be able to work their magic on your dress as well :wizard:

Good luck :thumbsup2
