So you have all been helpful in the bra fitting category. Now I need to find a dress for my boss' wedding. It is a night wedding at the end of June. We will also be going on a DCL cruise next April. I was thinking that maybe I could find a dress that would be good for both. I am looking at some of the dresses at TravelSmith. Although a lot of the dresses run about $100 some of the black dresses look like they can be either dressed up or down. I am also going to try TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc. I am probably one of the few women on the planet but I HATE shopping. One of my friends is also not a big shopper and jokes that she became a nurse so that she could wear scrubs to work every day!

I have always bought my dresses for cruises/special occassions at Ross or TJ Maxx. I bought a beautiful Donna Karan dress there in December for $49!

I would suggest you go to a bigger city store for a better selection. I have 2 Ross stores within 5 miles of me but I always drive 15 miles to the downtown Pasadena store for dresses because they always have better selection and brand names..

Depending on how adventurous you want to be you can check out thrift/consinment stores. Think of going out on a hunt;) Sometimes you can find a deal in there. Will need to get it cleaned. You may even want to hit the department stores for the after prom sales.

I did find a dress on Nordstroms for less than $100 for the dress and shipping to Hawaii:woohoo:. You can look online there and have it listed by price and stop looking by $xxx.

Good luck.

Belk's has a great sale on now. I bought a beautiful champagne dress for my son's daytime cruise wedding in May. It has a banded waist with subtle beading and sequins on the band only. The skirt has tiers and it has a 3/4 length sleeved bolero jacket.I looked online first to see all the styles then went to the store. Hope you find something!!

Try keepmeinstitches.com--they have some reasonable prices. Also, Chadwicks.com and Dillards.com sometimes have good sales.
