I'm going with my husband to a business convention the first week of May in Marco Island, FL. Two of the parties/dinners say dress code is "resort casual." What the heck is that? :confused3 I have some really cute Ann Taylor capri sets. Would those be appropriate? Should I wear something with a skirt? If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! TIA

I think the Ann Taylor capri sets wuold befine. It means generally a little dressier than casual. So, polos and khakisfor men, skirts/capris/slacks/nice outfits for women. No cutoffs, swimsuits, t-shirts, etc. At least that's my understanding.

Your capri sets sound perfect!

Have fun!

Nahhhh - your Capri's will be perfect-o! :sunny: Sounds fun!

Where are you staying on Marco Island? We stayed at the Marco Marriott. We had a huge, corner room that overlooked the bay and the ocean. The beach is HUGE but lots of shells so bring some sandals or some beach appropriate shoes because it isn't walking in barefoot sand.

The capri outfits sound great, btw.

We're staying at the Marriott too! Looks great on the website. Hope it's as nice in person! Thanks for the info about the beach. We'll have a couple of free nights. Any restaurant suggestions?

We were with a work trip deal and ate mostly at the hotel. We had one off site meal at a golf course with a Murder Mystery Theater deal too so I can't help much with places to eat. The hotel food was good. It is a pretty nice hotel. The lobby area is really nice and there are some fun shops in the hotel. They were just adding a spa when we were there 3 years ago so I am sure that is done now. They have drink service on the beach so you can pull up your lounge chair, grab a book and they will bring you drinks as needed :woohoo: .
