Dining at Blue Zoo Thurs   . Anyway, does anyone know the dress code? I figured "smart" casual as in men in chino's and ironed shirt, me in summer shift and the kids in good clothes. My question, can DH wear his brand new sneakers or do I have to pack another pair of shoes. We always try to look nice...but I hate to have to pack a pair of topsiders for one night. Any thoughts??? TIA

You/he might be more comfortable in shoes other than sneakers.....IMO

I would say depends on what kind of sneakers they are...running shoes with big stripes, I would pack the other shoes. If they are plain..leather walking type shoes, not really noticable under nice pants and shirt..I would say go for it.

Blue Zoo is very dark...no one will even notice the shoes unless you point them out yourself.

True. I've never seen anyone look at anyones feet in a WDW restaurant!!
MY guess is that the code for the Zoo is the same as the Disney signature restaurants. That allows for dress shorts, jeans, and makes no mention whatsoever of footwear.
We've done Blue Zoo 4 times now and wore shorts, sneakers, and collared polo shirts. No problem whatsoever. And we saw folks in park attire each and every time.

Sneakers will be fine; it's not that dressy.

Cheers!

The previous posters are correct, the shoes should not be an issue. We did see men turned away without a collared shirt however.

Been to Bluezoo a couple times and attire is not an issue. I've been with shorts and sneakers. To be honest, I think they're a lot more laid back than something like CA Grill.

My husband and I were running late for our reservation at Bluezoo one night and argued about whether we should take the time to swing back to the resort and change and risk being even later, so we went in jeans and t-shirts. When we got there I felt ridiculous for even discussing it - there were some people in business casual or even formal, but most people looked like they just rolled in from a day at the parks - novelty Mickey accessories and all.

When I made ressies I was told resort casual. . .that means sandals, flip flops, shorts, jeans, shirts with sleeves for men (by the way, I HATE wifebeaters. . .), and collars if you feel like it. . .don't show up in bathing suits. . .that probably would not cut it. . .lol.
