Dress Code at Cali Grill

My husband and I are going to Cali Grill for our first time next month and I was curious about the dress code. I saw that they list flip flops on the restricted list, but how enforced is that? I don't plan on wearing the Old Navy, rubber flip flops, but dressy ones. However, they are still flip flops. We're going to MK that day and I don't feel like going all the way back to our resort so was planning on packing a change of clothes and didn't really feel hauling heavy wedges in my backpack all day.

The dress code is not super strict. You’ll be fine in dressy flip flops.

I've worn cute flip flops to California Grill before with a knit dress.

I've gone many times in t-shirt, capris and sneakers...never a problem. Most people are coming directly from one of the parks. Perhaps later in the evening people are more dressed up.

Another Cali Grill flip flop wearer here and you will be just fine. Some people will be more dressed up but I've also seen a lady in her race gear after RunDisney race so it really does run the gamut.

Thanks everyone. I'll atleast change out of my park attire, but if we decide to go back in a park or venture to another resort for drinks I did not want to deal with heels!

When at WDW my wife wears nothing but flip flops, dressy ones for places for Cali Grill, Crocs everywhere else.

Like everything else at WDW these days - lax and inclusive. It used to be fun to have a couple places with enforced dress codes. Seems like we are down to Victoria and Alberts. That being said - Walter is a great waiter if he is working. And if you can, get a window table with a Magic Kingdom view. Save your receipt and use it to go out on the cat walk for MK fireworks if they have returned by the time you visit. Enjoy!!
