Dress Code at Cali Grill

We will be trying the CG for the first time this May. My dh is very casual on vacation. What should I pack for him to wear here?

anything you go to the park in is acceptable! Some people get very dressed, others go in park attire....it's up to you! The only restaurant on property that has a dress code is Victoria & Alberts!

I was told by the CM when I booked CG that t-shirts and tube tops are not allowed.

Upscale resort restaurants change dress code to Business Casual! No hats, swim suits, swim suit coveralls, tank tops, T-shirts, torn clothing or flip-flops. You can wear - dress shorts, pants, jean pants, collared shirts, blouses, sweaters, pants. Restaurants now requiring Business Casual include: Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge), California Grill (Contemporary), Citricos and Narcoossee's (Grand Floridian), Jiko (Animal Kingdom Lodge), Flying Fish (Boardwalk), and Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club).

I booked CA Grill over the phone this weekend and the reservationist said,"the dress code is business casual, do you know what that means?" I assured her that I did and that was all that was said about it. So, yes, there is a dress code. If you want to search for the thread, it was discussed ad nauseum a couple of months ago.

I was thinking a pair of dress shorts and a collared golf shirt for him and sun dress for me. Sounds like it should be fine, but I just wanted to be sure.

We ate there last Friday and we made our ADR's on thursday on the phone and the CM told me "Resort casual", she explained that jeans, sneakers and a polo type shirt would be fine, and that is what I wore.

That will be fine. Most people do dress up a bit (for Disney anyway) for the California Grill, meaning no tank tops, cut-off, etc.
