Dress Arrival

Hi!

Carolyn Allen's is delivering my dress (already steamed) ON my wedding day at 10:30 AM. My ceremony is at 2:30. I won't see my dress (after shipping it from home) until the day of the wedding.

Does this seem like a good decision? Is it too risky to have my gown delivered 4 hours before I walk down the aisle...or is that the norm?

I think it's the norm, because they're doing mine at 8 for a noon wedding. I'm not worried about it. I haven't heard any complaints about them from this board, and I think I would be more nervous having my dress hanging around for a good chunk of time. With my family, that's just inviting disaster!

That's exactly how it worked for me, and it was fine. Not only that, but it was SOOOOOO convenient not to have to bring the dress on the plane in either direction and schlep it around our 4 hotels.

You have nothing to worry about with Carolyn Allen's. My daughter purchased her gown from there and they kept it for her from November when they got it in until the day of her wedding which wasn't until May. They delivered it and the bridesmaids dresses to the GF the morning of the wedding. They came about l0:00 and the wedding wasn't until the evening. They steamed all the dresses including mine and they were great!!!! You are in good hands.

GREAT! Thanks ladies...I've heard great things about Carolyn Allen's, I was more worried I made the mistake of booking it the day of the wedding! I feel good now..seems like that was the right move
