*Dreamy Spring Double-Dip* March 13, 2012

Hi,
Does anyone know the dining rotation for our trip and what night pirate night is?

Thanks

Pirate Night is on the At Sea Day, Friday 3/16, which I've never read about before so thought it was odd. From what I understand I think everyone gets a different dining rotation, and we won't know what it is until the day of sailing. Is that right cruise veterans?

I have no idea about formal night. I haven't heard that we'll technically have one. I've only read TRs for the 5-night that have 2 semi-formal nights. The Pirate Night I'm 100% positive because it's on the DCL website under the calendar, but there's no notes on anything else besides the Sail Away Party.

Well from your name I can already tell we will like you! We are Hawkeye fans :cool1: we have two more families joining us :thumbsup2 but one family has cyclone fans :confused3 and the other has an illini fan :confused3 what do you do? Hoping to get a couple more families if any more reservations open for kids..... Where will you be staying for the first part of your trip? Me, DH and DD will be staying at wl for a few nights. We can't wait for spring break!

Looking forward to meeting everyone if a meet gets set up!

Yep - we're fellow Hawkeye fans! Funny that you have Cyclones & Illini fans in your group. My husband & I are originally from North Central Iowa (where there are lots from our family that have been led astray & are Cyclone fans!) and I spent my Jr. High & H.S. years in Illinois where so many there cheer for the Orange & Blue. We are doing a few nights @ All Star Music prior to the cruise. Looking forward to it!

Dunno if anyone else is interested in doing so, but just in case our cruise meet doesn't fall early in the trip I thought I would post a picture of us so people would know what we look like at least. heheh This was from last Dec. on our Western Caribbean Cruise!

Booking shore excursions begins on Dec 14 for me.
Does anyone have any thoughts about the "Discover Atlantis" excursion?
Thanks,
Cruellafan

I think that is the one that we decided to do ourselves. We book on the 14th as well. We were so undecided about all the other excursions and thought that the fact that you get to work on your own schedule after your initial tour worked best for us.

The shuttle runs consistently throughout the day so you can leave whenever you want. We figured the waterpark was probably going to be a zoo what with being March break and all. I may carry suits with us though just in case we change our minds and want to hang out in the lazy river or something. The hubby can sneak off for a quick game of roulette as well. heheh

Hi everyone! :goodvibes I haven't said hello yet, so HELLO!! ;)

I had a question about the current pirate night conversation/confusion...

My travel agent checked and Pirate night is on the Nassau night and semi formal night is on the Sea Day.

When I look up my reservation online under "My Cruise Activities" the itinerary says that the "Pirate Deck Party" is on Day 4 when the ship is at sea. Can anyone else confirm this?

91 days!! :dance3:

Thanks for the opinions. I think that the "discover" tour doesn't include admission to the water parks, so you may want to check that out before you lug bathing suits around.
I, too, like the free time allotted us, although I'll spend extra time in the aquarium, I probably will only stroll through the casino, if even that (sensory overload in casinos, too many lights and bells). Here's wishing good luck to DH at roulette!

That's exactly why I wrote what I wrote, that' where I saw the information. I would think the DCL website is correct....

Thanks, Pam! I hope so too! :goodvibes

Sorry to have created confusion, it was not my intent to question what you had written. Between your answer, the website, my travel agent, asking and calling Disney Cruise Line myself, I have gotten five different answers so I was just letting everyone know what I had found out. I won't do so in the future!

Oh my, no need to take it personally.... Shared info is why we get on here isn't it?

I don't know why they make it so confusing. I would think it's already scheduled, so when they send out confirmations it would be helpful if they included that stuff also.

I agree! No worries Sparty! :flower3: Disney is notorious for giving out different information, so who knows!! ;)

I am very excited...I was able to book today and got everything that I wanted:
Early arrival time
Palo dinner and brunch
Some Spa stuffhttp://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/banana.gif
Nursery hours
Excursion for my son and husband

This looks like it is going to be a great trip if we can get the baby to sleep...praying that he will!

Thanks for everyone's help with the scheduling...I think it got worked out now!

Congratulations!!! Did you do it exactly at midnight? I have to wait until the 29th, this being our first cruise. I'm hoping there will still be some openings at Palo.

Hi,
I went on about 2:00 a.m. as that happened to be the time the baby got up. The website worked well for a while and then I could not do anything again until this morning as I kept getting an error message. Also, I could not get Palo brunch earlier this morning but when I went back in at 7:00 a.m. there was an opening.

Good Luck with everything...it is nice being able to go early for sure.

Hey Guys! I haven't been on in MONTHS!!!!! I discovered gardens of time and have been wasting all my time there!

okay, what's new? what did I miss?

I just made final payment.

Did we ever get the FE stuff sorted out? I know I emailed my info to the person here who is organizing, but I haven't heard anything.
