For those of you that have booked thru Dreams Unlimited, did you like the service they gave? Were they easy to communicate with? Is there an 800# I can call or is it strictly online? Does anyone happen to know the number? I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.:teacher:

We booked our Christmas cruise through DU. Most of the communication is done by email (answers very quickly). Go to their site and inquire about a reservation. This will hook you up with an agent. We are working with Tammy. Beware of AOL - some of my emails from DU ended up in my spam folder.

Very nice to work with. They do have an 800 number for service after you book.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I will try e-mailing them. Let me ask you, why did you choose the December cruise (besides the fact its a 10 day cruise)? Aren't you worried about weather or water temperature or anything?

I have always used buycruises which are both internet and phone. I always use the phone. Anyway, I tried DU since many on this board use them. I usually do lots of research for my cruises and know what I want so didn't think the e-mailing would bother me but it did.
I still got a quote from them since I figured if they beat what I had then I would go with them since I don't need my hand held. But they did come in about $300 more than Cruise Planners (which I also found on this site). I did call my usual TA buycruises to see if they could meet or match the price (I book a cruise with them about once a year) but they told me that the price I had from CP was great and that they must have booked as a group sailing since she couldn't even match my price.
Maybe it is because it is the special sailing, maybe not but I would also give them a call before booking directly with DU.
Enjoy.

i too had my concerns about booking on line but everything went very smoothly with Dreams- you must get your quotes on line but you can call the 800# to book and give your credit card deposit if you prefer- your credit card will be charged by DCL not dreams

i saved over $1000 on my may 2005 cruise by booking with dreams instead of booking directly through DCL

my agent was sue ellen and she really is wonderful & always happy to answer all my questions (i had many:rolleyes: )

We are using DU and Sue Ellen for our Sept 2005 cruise and for a cruise in July 2006. Both of these cruises were cheaper with DU then with DCL. We have had great service so far with Sue Ellen. She gets back to me quickly and is very helpful. I like being able to use email to ask my questions. It's easier for me this way. Also when the 2006 dates came out I emailed Sue Ellen directly and she helped me since we needed three cabins for my whole family to go on the cruise. She was awesome setting it all up for us.

I'll answer the question you asked Theresa (tskbaskets) about the 10 day holiday cruise. We're also on it, and booked with DU, Tammy as our agent.

We wanted a different itenerary since we've been on the 4 day and the western. We wanted to sail over the holiday to get our in-laws (sailing as our guests) away from the need to work so hard for the rest of the family. And the new ports sounded so great! I wouldn't take a late Dec or early Jan 3 or 4 day cruise because the weather is pretty risky. But the 10 day itinerary is so much further south that the only places it might be chilly are Key West and Castaway Cay. We don't plan to swim at Key West, and we'll have lots of other beach options in the other ports. I checked the average, low and high temps (air and water) for our ports, and they're all very very nice for late December.

I have to say DU have worked very well for me, getting the orginal booking at a low price, and helping me with an upgrade when I changed my mind!

I just paid of my third cruise with DU, and I'm very pleased with them. They've been able to handle all of the various crises that have been associated with my trips, including docs sent to my old address last year (DCL's fault, not DU) and the woman who lived there signed for them--twice! I was afraid she would try to board the ship and say she was me!

On the night before our trip, my BIL had to call them for some last minute assistance with something, and they were able to resolve his problem right away!

They've been able to apply all applicable discounts, make my dining arrangements at WDW, and I don't have to worry about anything (well, except how to pay for all of it!).
