Hi there,

I know this is a long ways off, but I was curious if anyone ever had a problem with DU NOT getting an AP rate applied to their room. I am also curious about how thay handle upgrading a reservation. We will be booking for CSR, but if rates are out, we want to upgrade to WL.. Would this be a problem with DU?

DU has found discounts I didn't even know existed (back in the old days before AP). They're great about changing reservations, moving dates, changing hotels, changing numbers of people on the reservation...can you tell that I have some vacation planning issues? We just changed our entire trip from 5 nights at CBR in October for two adults to 7 nights at Pop for four adults and one child, added a four-night cruise for two and added two different discount codes (one email, one postcard) all for December, and had everything taken care of within hours!

I know another travel agency has no problem with you telling them "if the AP rate is $xxx or lower for the WL, we would like to switch there." I bet DU would be the same way.

That is good to hear. I just don't think I could take the pressure of calling daily. I keep looking at the check for AP rates, and I would have a nervous breakdown about oversleeping one day.

Another question. I know they can't garauntee CRT. Is it ok for me to call as well, or is that not allowed? I just wanted to increase my chances.

Hi Beth,
Email your agent about the Cindy reservation. Each agent handles this differently and can offer you suggestions (and do what makes you most comfortable.)
Don't worry, your Dreams agent will be on top of the AP rates for you and if you are interested in possibly upgrading let your agent know so they can be on the lookout for the other resort.
