Dreams Unlimited Travel Agent Name

I use Krystin Turner. She always responds quickly to my emails and always lets me know ahead of time if she will be unavailable. We have used her twice and plan on using her for all future cruises.

We had Tammy Omar for our 15 person - 4 cabin Fantasy sailing last year, and she was great, and responded to questions from 4 distinct families. We're using her for our upcoming Magic sailing, she's been responsive and has communicated changes as they come - alcohol policy, signing service, etc.

Another vote for Tracey Heinrichs. Very knowledgeable, very helpful and always super responsive.

Sadly, this is the same experience that I had the first and only time I used DU, only it was often a week or more waiting for some replies. Eventually, I had to ask for another agent who could respond in a more timely manner.

The second agent was very prompt, but her emails were not very personable in tone. I know that some personalities don't "translate" well over e-mail, so I didn't hold that against her. Still, when I gave DU its requested feedback after my cruise (notably about the first TA), absolutely no one followed up with me at all. It was a remarkably regrettable experience because I really did want to help support the podcast.

That having been said, having listened to Tracey H. on the podcast several times, if I ever were to book with DU again, I'd ask for her. She seems to have her act pulled together.

sorry to read your less than positive experience with Dreams Unlimited.
We can not rave about them enough...and have not had any issues with them.

Being a client of Tracey H. you will not be disappointed with her!
She does have "her act pulled together" and is so friendly and quick to respond.

Can't believe the amount of knowledge she has...and her suggestions/tips are extremely helpful

Her passion for her work and all things Disney...is so ever present when dealing with her clients.

Give Dreams Unlimited another go...and give Tracey H a chance to help you plan your perfect Disney trip.

Thanks for the reply. I am glad you are so happy with Tracey. However, I think this is an object lesson in the old adage "You only get one chance to make a first impression".

The whole purpose of a TA is to make planning for these trips easier, not more aggravating. I was let down by the first TA. The second one was OK, but just that - OK. And then to get no response from DU re: my feedback, not even an acknowledgment that my experience wasn't up to their standards and that they hoped to do better next time? That's aggravating. Why would I give that agency another shot?

I now use another TA from another agency, and she is great. I have no reason to go back to DU; I don't think they can offer me anything that I am not already getting. And I think they will be just fine without me. ;)

I'm about to make my first cruise reservation. At this point the decision of which TA to use comes down strictly to dollars and sense :P Options are Costco (8% back as Costco Gift Card), Orbitz via Fatwallet/eBates (8% rebate), or a Disney Authorized Travel Agent with On Board Credit ($50 per $1000 base price) -- which are combinable with Disney Visa $50 OBC -or- OBB OBC if you specify the same TA in your OBB as your existing reservation. So, for future cruises using OBB you will get the 10% discount, $100/$200 OBB OBC and $50/$1000 TA OBC. This puts the Disney Authorized TAs at a distinct advantage over Orbitz/Fatwallet/eBates since you would only get the 10% OBB discount and combined OBB OBC and TA OBC through a TA, since you can only get eBates/Fatwallet rebates by clicking through on new online reservations through Orbitz. That said, it looks like the same problem exists with Dreams Unlimited, which unlike other Disney Authorized TAs, DU's terms explicitly state they do not allow you to receive their TA OBC in combination with bounce-back offers:

Am I missing something here?

Thanks!

EDIT: Looks like http://www.disboards.com/threads/question-on-obc-travel-agencies.3448535/#post-54445416 answers my question -- reportedly, DU will honor their OBC in combination with BBC OBC -- turns out the "bounce back offer" is not the same as an OBB and I was conflating the two. Answered my own question. Move along. Nothing to see here :P
