I have been dealing with this rep. from Dreams Unlimited the entire time we first requested a quote, and she is just too much! She always responds to emails with this air of annoyance. No matter how cordial I am, no matter how simple the question or request....I hit a "put out" brick wall. I know that they offer great deals, and I'm sure that they are overloaded with clients..but come on now. This one is just a mess. I know that they do this type of thing all day, everyday..but I don't. Why is it that I am spending the money and I feel like she is just frustrated with any communication I attempt with her? Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced this with Dreams? I don't want to put my trip in danger of being tampered with at this late date, but I will be contacting customer service via email when all is said and done.

no had excellent service the one time I used them - I got a guy.

of course then I found a much better rate.:rotfl2:

they generally give excellent service. Your is the first complaint I have heard.

maybe alot of cancelations - oh wait, that new package not to mention the discount on AP - you are probably right they are just swamped.

plus you may have gotten a new person - that isn't too knowledgeability about all the options on site as well as offsite.

I tried to imagine that maybe the first time she had just had a full day, or a bad one..but no, this is her I suppose. I have heard nothing but good things about Dreams, and was delighted to know I would be able to use them this time around with their promotion. I guess it was just my luck

I've always had good experiences with Dreams. Could you give an example of how someone sounds put out in an email? I'm not doubting you, just wondering how that emotion would come though in print. Does she preface things by typing Sheesh! Kidding on that one, but I am curious.

If you are not happy with the agent you got let them know and see if you can get another one.

I'm using a Dreams and my rep rocks! Always cheerful even though I ask a million questions and always responds to my e-mails within 30 minutes.

Don't give up on the agency but change the rep.

She will say things like....I will update that information online when I get a chance......I am not sure how your previous reservation was booked, but that is not the case now.
I think that there is a professional way to say the very same things. Keeping in mind that she is the rep. and handling company business...not a email to a girlfriend.
I tried not to read into it, but couple that with this happening everytime..I don't think so.

I was thinking of doing just that, but just decided that it was just a bad day for her. And I didn't contact her often, maybe 5 times max. Answering her questionaire, updating ADR's, New telephone numbers. Not any newbie questions at all. (We've been over 14 times)
I will still deal with the company, they have great deals all the time.

Well, I think a lot of it is in the reading. If it's an EMAIL you are putting your bias on the reading. Just like on these boards. I see people get all P-Od over something some wrote because they KNOW what they meant. No, you probably don't. Studies show over HALF of all communicaiton is non-verbal.

As I read your post it would be easy for me to say "it sounds like you are a pest" I am NOT saying that you are, but come on now.......(think about it, if your kid say "Come on now" how would you respond?)

I agree that alot goes into the reading, but I also know that when I am dealing with what should be a professional, that is representing a company that I am giving an amount of money for a sevice, I do expect there to be some level of consistent professionalism. Period. Without being afforded that chance to verbally speak with this person, one can only pull from how and what is written. I would not expect a 2.5 yr old child of mine to say Come on now, nor would I respond the same way to a child as I would to a professional. Why should I expect anything less then professionalism ? Regardless to what I may ask this individual, why is it not always professionalism? Again, I am not a newbie to the process, nor a pest in communication..I think that this one is a bad apple. And if I had it to do agin, I would have started with another rep. from the first communication.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I also had a terrible experience this year with dreams unlimited. Maybe they are just getting to big and cant handle it. I have been dealing with the same gentleman for over 5 yrs so I consider myself a good client of theirs. This year just because I had some financial issues about different places he offered, he cut me off completely. He never answered my last e-mail, so I guess they dont want to be bothered with the frugal traveler, even though I stay for a month every year.
So, I researched myself and got a great deal at the Comfort Inn on Palm Parkway. I've heard good and bad about this place but will judge for myself. They have been extremely helpful and cordial in all my dealings with them.
Good bye Dreams Unlimited.:grouphug: :grouphug: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
