Can I request more than 1 quote. I have one that expires 6-24-05, do I need to wait till that one expires then request another one or can I go ahead and request another one.

TIA

Yes. I learned this the hard way. I was tryng to decide what would be best for me one year in panning and needed to get another quote with one already in. I was not allowed to do that.

If you already have a quote, you should have a travel agent assigned to you. If so, just contact that person and tell them what you need. They should be able to let you know what your options are. I had a room-only ressie when the free dining plan was announced. I contacted DU and my agent figured out the package deal and gave me the information. At this point, I actually had 2 reservations on their books. I then made my deposit on the package and she has since processed the refund for the room-only reservation. Hope this helps.

The above option may work. I did not contact my agent at the point that I was just shopping. In fact if I had been assigned an agent at that piont I really did not know it. I had never used DU befroe and I was just looking for a rate for x # of days. I had a coulke of ideas about how may days and what resorts I wanted to look at. I also wondered if DU saved me money and if they got better room rates than I could get from Disney. They saved me time not necessarily money. But at Disney time is money. I suppose I could have called Trish my agent but "Marla Helwig" on these Boards who was also with DU emailed me as a rep from DU and said I could have only one quote at a time. I did not go further and eventually made a ressie off of another quote later.

It's been my experience that you can't have more than one quote at a time. But, my DU agents (have used a couple different ones in the past) have always been more than happy to price different options out for me so I could really decide which way I wanted to book.

Two years ago when we were going to Disneyland I already had a reservation that I made myself (rack rate) and had requested a quote from DU too see if they got any discount that I didn't know. When the DU quote came back which is the same as what I got I didn't book with them and instead just kept my original reservation that I made. When we arrived at Grand Californian hotel, the front desk told me that my reservation was canceled. Talk about panic attack! Luckily, the hotel was not sold-out and they were able to get us another room, not the view I wanted but after 8 hours of driving with kids tired and hungry, we just took the room. Just a word a caution.

I believe the reason that you cannot have more than one quote at a time is that DU puts a 10 or 14 day courtesy hold on a room for you when you request a quote.

Many of the Disney-specialist agencies do this, to lock in a rate for you, in case you decide to book. Not all of the agencies do this. I know that some people do not care for this method.

Either way, you should be able to contact your agent and explore options!

I just got an updated quote that I ask my DU for. Now I have a better rate and the dates we really wanted. I just e-mailed her will a request, not a change of first quote as not to lose it.

That's the way to do it! If DU is holding a room for you already, just email your agent to get a different quote. Then, if you decide to pick the new option, just let the agent know, and they will change your reservation! It's much faster and easier to do it that way, than if you fill out another quote request form. :sunny:
