I have a reservation quote. I am seriously thinking about booking through Dreams but wanted to make sure of what I will get by doing so. Are these correct? They search discount codes etc and automatically apply them as they find them thereby saving me additional $$ and time. They also make all my PS's for me as requested. On the PS issue, how is that done? Do they e-mail or call me for the places I want to dine?

I'm considering booking through DU myself. I know most business is done via e-mail. I think you're right on how the discounts are handled. As far as the PS's, you basically make all your requests on-line. I don't think it's e-mail, but a site that you go to and you click on place, day, and time. Most people seem to get all their requests. This is one of the main reason I'm considering using DU.

When you book you're assigned an agent who will take with you through email about any PS they need to make for restaurants, shows, etc. They then update everything on their website and make you a personalized itinerary with all the info for you to look at. My agent was Kelsie, and she was very helpful!! She got us every PS we wanted and even got us front row seats to the shows we went to (Hoop Dee Doo, Luau, Cirque).

I have used Dreams several times and have been nothing but happy with them. They will check for discounts that will apply to your reservation, and they have always been great about getting me the PS's I request. Two thumbs up! Also, my agent, Liz, is GREAT (you can request an agent on their request form). :)

P.S. I am a UGA alum--go dawgs!

Thanks everyone and ead 79 a big "GO DAWGS" from Milledgeville. Has anyone else had experience with Dreams in getting better rates and PS's?

Two Thumbs Up for Dreams Unlimited

I used them for my first trip as an adult to WDW. Having not been to WDW in twenty years, the planning was overwhelming- not to mention trying to work too.

Sue Ellen was my agent and she was great. I will be using them again for future trips.

I loved doing everything through e-mail- created a good record of questions I asked and answers and suggestions I received. Sue Ellen always returned my e-mails promptly (even when she was without power during a hurricaine!!).

All requests for PS were met and even changes made with ease (or it certainly seemed with ease on my part!). My DD was thrilled to eat breakfast with the Princesses in the Castle- one of the harder PS to nail down. I loved the fact that Sue Ellen was on top of doing these- not to mention I didn't have to make a toll call. All I had to do was make sure I gave her my preferences well before the time she had to call (90 days out). Once she booked a PS, she entered the PS number on our online itinerary that I could check so it was easy to see how she was doing on our requests.

I don't have experience with the discounted rates but others on the board have also sung DU praises at staying on top of rates.

Wow- I just re-read this and it sounds like I work for them!!! Really I don't- I just had such a great experience with them!!

I ended up booking through Dreams Unlimited recently also. The main reason I booked through them is because #1 they specialize in Disney. Also from reading these boards I have heard nothing but good things about them and also since it's our first time to Disney I thought it would be best for us NOT to plan the trip ourself. We need all the help we can get. Maybe we would consider planning on our own after we have been there once.

So far everything is going great. Once I decided to book through Dreams Unlimited I was assigned a travel consultant and I had some of the same questions you did and I got prompt replies through email about them. I was concerned that since I booked a room in August and the codes were not out yet for August would I still be entitled to apply the codes. I was assured that they make the changes automatically when and if the codes do come out. You will have an itinerary set up by them. You log into it at the Dreams Unlimited website. Any questions you have you can email your consultant and get the answers. I'm very happy with the process so far since it doesn't cost me anything to use them.
Good Luck!

We booked our two previous trips through Dreams, and I was extremely pleased! I'm starting to plan our next trip and will definitely use them again.

Our agent, Merrie, came to the rescue when Disney sent our cruise documents to the wrong address--twice! We had moved recently, and Disney Cruise Line seemed to have a bit of difficulty accepting that fact. Our documents were delivered to our previous address twice, and the woman who lives there now signed for them on both occasions. Merrie was able to resolve the entire mess, and made sure that we received our package by overnight mail, since all these delays had taken so much time.

Have a wonderful vacation!

Actually, the way the PSs work is like this:

Your agent will give you an itinerary with a listing of all the restaurants he or she has picked out for you. If you don't like any of them just email you agent with the changes and when the time comes they will make the PS arrangements that YOU want. Their sample itinerary is just to get your started in the right direction and in the end it looks the way you want after moving things around! :p :D
Cathy Miller was my agent in 2001 and again for my trip in 2006. She did a WONDERFUL job on my PS ressies and got every one that I wanted. I changed two of them upon my arrival to Disney but only because DH and I relooked some things.
Dreams is great and will work on those codes and ressies for you. I've heard of agents applying codes even before their client asks...it's great! ::yes::

Add us to the list of happy DU customers! Trish has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She has answered all my questions quickly and helped get some difficult PSings. I also love how they set up an itinerary for you. I highly recommend them!

Trisha is our agent too. I went ahead and made the reservations with her and sent in my survey. All replys have been very quick. So far I am pleased with response time.

I have a question about ordering tickets through Dreams Unlimited. I have my room only reservations through DU already. Can I add tickets to the reservation (thinking about A/P) and pay on these until our vacation time in December or do they have to be paid in full immediately? I'm not sure if that made sense or not. Hopefully someone understands what I'm asking. LOL Thanks, Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Contact your agent about the tickets--he/she can answer your questions best. Just an FYI, all ticket purchases have to be paid in full at the time of purchase unless it is part of a package.

Hi Sandy!

You cannot order Annual Passes through Dreams Unlimited. Here are the ticket options available through Dreams Unlimited:

Hope that helps! :)

Just to make a clarification to all that are new to DU, Misti...you can order all other ticket media (hoppers and hppoer plus's) just not the Annual pass. Is that correct?

dawgfan--Dreams can order the 5 day, 5 day +, 6 day + and 7 day + passes for you, but as Misti said, not the annual pass--Dreams also does not sell the 4 day hoppers.

Sue Ellen

How do your wishes work? Are they some type of coupon. Some restaurants require two wishes. We have six in our group so we would have to give twelve wishes and then the tip would be in extra?

Wishes work like this:

When you choose to redeem them, just let your server know. They will take your room key and they will deduct the wishes used from there. At the bottom of your receipt, it will show how many wishes you have left. You don't have to tip extra if you don't want to, but that's always a nice treat for the server. The 15% tip gratuity is included, but please remember, gratuity is 17% now and those couple of dollars makes a big difference to us servers more than you know. :p
If you have anymore questions about the wishes, just let us know.

Denise:

Thanks for the info on the wishes. I didn't know tips were included and I didn't know it's 17% now. Is that just for Disney or is that common everywhere? Being up here in Northern Ontario sometimes we're behind in some areas. I know in some areas of Florida, Canadians have a reputation for being tight. I wouldn't want to add to that rep.

Thanks, again
Jack

Hey Jack!
You are quite welcome! :teeth: The 17% is across the United States. Look Canadians are not the only ones who are "tight" on tipping and I will leave it at that! ;) I'm glad I could help.
