Can DU book room only reservations with AAA discounts or do you need to go through AAA for that?

I think you need to do this on your own but then you can transfer the reservation over to them, at least that is the way it worked 2 years ago for us. I had booked our reservation for room only with a AAA discount through CRO and then I transferred the reservation over to DU.

Du is great! We have used them a few times in the past and I just booked our Winter Dream Maker pkg. through them for our trip this Dec.

Wow, I just noticed your countdown clock after posting and being "taken to my post", it looks like we'll be at WDW at the same time! I'll be looking for the green ribbons. We're staying at the Pop Centry.

Im pretty sure they can book for you with the AAA discount.When I made a reservation with them today there was a section on the bottom before they give you the price that asks if you have a AAA membership.I dont so I put no but if they couldnt give the discount im sure it wouldnt be there.Hope this helps.

Yes DU can get your AAA reservation for room only for you! I have recently made a res for my son through them for Jan and all he needed to do was supply the AAA member # and experation date and he saved about $100 at PC. Hope this helps you out!

I posted on the tips board, but maybe I should have come here first (duh )! Last week, I requested a quote from them for a room only and I am very happy with the price they gave me. With my discount, I'll save $200 off the Disney-quoted price (I have spoken to Disney CRO, and they will not match the price; they also told me that the price they gave me includes the AAA discount). I'd like to go through DU, but I'm looking for references. I normally do this for any new companies that I deal with. Has everyone been satisfied with their service - i.e. no loss of deposits or reservations? Thanks!

Thanks for the info everyone. I did double check with my agent since there are some conflicting reports here(I tried not to bother her...AGAIN) and she said yes, they can book room only AAA.

Apirateslifeforme, I have used DU 3x in the past, I have 1 trip booked with them for Dec, and Im hoping to book another with them real soon(the reason I asked this question).
My agent is wonderful. Ive had the same one for each trip and she is always a wealth of information and gets back to me very quickly. We actually are hoping to meet up in WDW in Dec.
Even times when she has been away and Ive had to deal with other agents they have been very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend DU.

I have used DU for my non-DVC reservations and have always been very happy with their service. I’ll be transferring over my current reservation to them very soon.

For those of you who don’t know, “DU” (Dreams Unlimited Travel) is the owner of the website that you’re currently on – the Dis.

It's good to know that things have changed and they can book the AAA discount.

apirateslifeforme, We have used them in the past for a Disney cruise, a trip to Disneyland this past June, and I just booked a trip 2 weeks ago through them for WDW for this Dec. We have not had any problems at all and their services have been very helpful and informative.
