Hi Missing your TR!! check everyday :confused3

Off to DLP in 3 weeks - you can stress me out about a TR for that!!

We overlapped! We got married at the WP on 4/2! We were at the GF from 3/30-4/4. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip! :)

Great report so far. Had a look at the photo's on Roots Blog. They have some beautiful photos, I especially love the firework ones. Your dress was stunning. Can't wait to hear all about the magical day :wizard:

Hi :goodvibes, really enjoying your trippie and looking forward to more! x

Hi guys!

I am SO sorry for abandoning this!!!! We've been so busy.

But I now have a quiet time to be able to catch up! :)

Next installment soon!! Xxx

Once we got back to AKL my first priority was to shower!

Honestly my entire torso was black!!

We now have our photopass photos so here's all of us and the evil top in question:

It took Jack and I 15 minutes of scrubbing but I finally got back to my normal pasty colour!

Then we didn't have long until our suit fitters were due to arrive.

They were a local copany that a lot of Disney brides use, called Carolyn Allens, and they were such a pleasure to work with, i really recommend them.

About 10 minutes before they were due to arrive I heard a knock on the door (I'd dropped them an email when we arrived with our room number) and there were two lovely men with a huge trolley of suits in the hall.

I quickly ran across the hall to my parents room to let them know they'd arrived, and we gave Dave and Karen a call too.

While we waitied for Dave and my Dad to come over I showed the suit men our view, as they hadn't been to AKL much before. Sadly there weren't too many animals out at that point:

Luckily everyone's suits fit perfectly, so we had everything left with us, which was a big relief to me, as the logistics of getting suits delivered on the wedding morning to two resorts very far apart (AKL & GF) was giving me a bridezilla headache!

All dad needed was a different shoe size, and as they were coming to steam my wedding dress anyway and Dad was staying the GF the night before the wedding we were all OK. :)

The three boys looked lovely in their suits, we'd brought waistcoats from home as jack found this picture online and wanted this exact suit:

suit_morning_00.jpg

Carolyn Allen had the same jacket, shirt and trousers, but not the waistcoat, so it was a relief to be able to put our pre-purchased waistcoats with the suit and see that they all matched perfectly. Also I was happy that the men's ties were the same colour as my bridemaids dresses. :)

I did take a photo of the three of them all ready, but you can't see their tie colours in it. The wedding photos are much better quality!!!

After the suits were all set it was time for Jack and I to head over to CSR to meet his Mum and her boyfriend. (Sally and Richard)

We didn't know the best transfer strategy, but I knew CSR was the closest resort to us, so we didn;t want to head to MK.

A DHS bus was waiting when we got to the stop, so we jumped right on. Then luckily as we got to DHS a CSR bus was right there waiting, so it all worked out pretty well. :)

Soon we were arriving at CSR.

I've always loved the look of CSR (which is why I chose it as our Moderate wedding resort) so I was happy to get off the first stop and have a walk around. As we appread to be stopped near Casitas and that's the section I most liked the look of.

I quite liked the Casitas section, and took a few photos along the way:

Jack however wasn't very impressed and said he doesn't think he would like to stay there.....I'm not sure why, seemed lovely to me, I jsut think maybe it's quite similar to holidays we have in spain and it didn't feel very Disney to him....

He perked up when we saw thse guys though:

(OK, I may of forced him a little....)

Once we'd walked past El Centro we were almost at Sally's building (Cabanas 9B) and after a bit of a hunt we found their room.

Coming from AKL the room seemed pretty small and dark, but they are really nicely decorated and certainly have everything you need.

Most importantly Sally was absolutely in love with the resort, so we were both very happy. :cool1:

All 4 of us headed back to El Centro and we say by the lake and had a drink and some crisps, and talked about our journey and the wedding and some bits.

The plan was to head to DTD to meet Janey and Neil for some dinner.

(Let it be known it was a Saturday night and I had mentioned a couple of times that it was not going to be very peaceful in DTD!)

In any case we got on a bus, sat in lots of traffic and eventually got to DTD.

It was pretty busy, but we had a nice time wandering the shops, Sally got a few bits for our nephews back at home, and we all had a lovely time.

But by the time we met Janey and Neil the place was heaving, ther was a line for everything, and poor Sally who had pneumonia was not feeling well. :sad2:

So we all said our goodbyes and headed home.

Jack and I were pretty wiped out anyway, so we just grabbed a bagel in our room, watched some TV and sorted out some bits and pieces for the wedding. Tomorrow was a full on day so it was worth conserving energy!!

(Apologies for the lack of photos, DTD was so horribly crowded there wasn't much to photograph!)

Glad you are continuing.

My Mum and Step Dad stayed at CSR for our wedding and I thought it looked a nice resort.

Day 4 - EPCOT

Another day, another rope drop.

My Mum and Dad were both looking quite tired this morning as they had dinner at Sanaa the night before (which they are still raving about!) and then got a bit carried away by the Disney spirit so they went to MK to watch MSEP. It's my Mum's favourite memory of our trip when I was little, so I understand. :)

We had a lot of people to meet this morning, but as always some were late, so it all got a little hectic......

Us 6 AKL stayers all arrived together, and once we were through bag check we quickly spotted Big Dave, one of our friends from Uni.

Soon it was opening time and one of my Disney trip must do's was right there - DAISY!!

Then it was time to run the Soarin' gauntlet....

208099_10150545966180084_821450083_18251569_7708993_n.jpg

Uh oh!

The crowd looked horrendous.....but it actually wasn't too bad once we were in the bulding.

The plan was for Jack to grab some FPs for his family who were running late and then we'd all ride standby.

So many people were pouring into the standby that we decided we'd all get in line and Jack would catch up.

But after about 10 minutes in line we were at the front, letting people go by and still no sign of Jack.....

We though maybe he'd found his family, so amde the decision to go ahead and ride wihout him.

Then when we came out we grabbed some food from sunshine seasons and kept an eye on the ride exit.

After 15 minute and food all finished there was no sign of Jack, so we decided to head outside in case he was out there.

He wasn't but I did get a text saying he'd met up with his family and they were about to go on Soarin' and were heading onto Living with the Land afterwards.

Dave, Karen, Mum, Dad, Big Dave and I decided to go into the Seas, so hopped on some clam mobiles (where the CM congratulated big Dave and I on our wedding :rotfl2:) and then checked out teh aquarium for a while.

Not too long afterwards I got a text to say they were heading out of the Land, so we finally all got re-aquainted out by the shiny nemo's. (I remember that as I text Jack to say "Meet at shiny Nemo" but my iPhone turned it into "Shinny Memo" and I was too cheap to send another text, so we now call him "Shinny memo"

Our first ride together as a group was to be Spaceship Earth....which seemed to be where everyone else in the park was headed....we had to queue all the way around the base.

But it kept moving and we were all happy to have a catch up.

Once we were on the ride, we got into the dark tunnely up part and we stopped....and stayed stopped.....

"Attention Time Travellers....."

We heard that a lot.

The ride must have stopped about 6 times.

I was stuck near the cinema part for a good 5 minutes, we all had a chat, and I even broke my dark-ride photo rule to commemorate the occasion.

205595_10150545966770084_821450083_18251585_171326_n.jpg

When we exited the ride it was hard to get out amongst the sea of wheelchairs at the exit platform, so at least we knew we kept stopping for a good reason and not because there was a problem with the ride.

After the ride we all headed over to Club Cool - and you can guess what I had in store for our guests!

Beverley!

My Mum's words were "Why. Why would anyone drink that? Why"

207448_10150545967335084_821450083_18251600_4754196_n.jpg

Karen just sort of stared at it afterwards - very confused.

Neil said some things I'm not allowed to type on here.

And Janey wins my best Beverly reaction award for the day!

After we'd washed out mouths out with tasty drinks like Lift and Vegitabeta we decided to check our the F&G festival and go into the (boiling hot) butterfly house.

Up next - we explore World Showcase.

I'm not sure if it was the late night - or the beverley - but my mum was feeling really hot and tired, so her and my dad headed back to AKL while the rest of us headed into Mexico.

It was in there that I got a text from Michelle saying "Where are you? We're in Mexico" and sure enough we found them right outside the temple.

When we got our photopass back I learned what her and Kevin had been doing that morning :wizard:

We all took a nice cruise together:

205726_10150545970525084_821450083_18251661_2407234_n.jpg

But all that cruising makes a group hungry, and there was only one place Jack was having a snack from today - Norway!

217233_10150545971550084_821450083_18251681_2692593_n.jpg

Jack and I shared a school bread, Dave had a berry cream puff. (You can also see my beloved anti-viral hand spray in this photo. I love that stuff!)

216591_10150545972080084_821450083_18251694_24162_n.jpg

Michelle and Kev went for sandwiches.

205154_10150545972340084_821450083_18251702_438442_n.jpg

Karen and Dave went for desserts, I'm not sure what Janey had - there she is peeping in the background though.

After our snacks it was time for Kev to head back to his hotel as he had to fly home :sad1: - his company wouldn't let him have any time off during April, and it was March 27th. So he'd had a lovely break with Michelle at Ft Lauderdale and Miami, and some brief time in WDW and Sea World, but now it was home time.

Before they left they gave us our wedding present - which we use everyday and I was planning on buying anyway, so it's my favourite kind of present!

:cheer2:

Next up we all toured China, Jack's Mum loved it and got her name written in Chinese - I really loved the F&G zodiac symbols made from nuts and stuff.

Here's one of them:

222032_10150545973025084_821450083_18251720_2531522_n.jpg

Then onto Germany:

198220_10150443392620084_821450083_17947796_1247066_n.jpg

I love the Tangled tower - it even sings her song. :)

207153_10150545973350084_821450083_18251730_5181373_n.jpg

By this time we were all baking hot and getting very tired.

It was also getting late, and we had a Welcome Dinner to be at at 5pm.

So we all jumped on a Friend Ship boat back across to Futureworld.

The boat was super busy and I had to stand, quite up close to the driver. He saw my bride shirt and asked me lots of questions, then made the whole boat sing "Row, row, row your boat to me", quite embarassing as Jack wa sat down with his Mum a couple of rows away, so I looked a bit odd.

When we got off the boat we said our goodbyes to Sally and Richard as they went to get the bus - I had some VERY important business to attend to!

I needed to buy myself a Duffy bear!

I'd been trying to keep patient and not buy him in AKL, as I wanted to get him in the official Duffy shop, and have his photo with big Duffy - and that moment had finally come!!

294458_10150862539210084_821450083_21334481_605767979_n.jpg

Big Duffy was very pleased that I had his little friend and hugged and kissed him lots. He then saw our t-shirts and hugged and kissed us lots (I love that bear!)

He asked if he could come to the wedding - we of course said yes.

I'm so glad he's made it over from Japan, he's awesome.

After our Duffy encounter it was time to head back to AKL to prepare for our Welcome Meal at Whispering Canyon. :)

Yeah, you came back!! Can't wait to read more. Thanks for returning to your report.

Woohoo, we've had another installment! :goodvibes Great reading and looking forward to more! :thumbsup2

Any more? x

Today :) I was trying to get photos of our welcome meal but I can't find any - so the next installment will be alittle brief I'm afraid.

so glad you decided to carry on, can't wait for more! :goodvibes

:cutie: Thank you!

Yeah, you came back!! Can't wait to read more. Thanks for returning to your report.

Thanks so much for coming back to it too. :)

Woohoo, we've had another installment! :goodvibes Great reading and looking forward to more! :thumbsup2

Thanks Rachel, I'm really keen to get to the wedding part, so will be continuing lots. :)

After EPCOT it was time to get ready for our big welcome meal at Whispering Canyon.

I had done a poll of our wedding guests as to whether they'd like to eat at Kona or WCC (as Jack and I couldn't decide) and WCC got the most votes.

I'd given everyone directions, and a time to meet in the WL lobby, but it turned out I should have been a bit more generous with our transfer time.

We got to MK quickly enough, but just missed a boat, so had a wait on our hands. Luckily that waiting time meant a lot of other guests who were staying at WDW resorts ended up meeting us at the boat dock and we were all together for the journey.

On the boat across from MK to WL my Mum and I were chatting to a lovely lady from Florida, she asked my Mum "Are you excited for the wedding."

And my Mum, understandably, started gushing about how she was SO excited and had been waiting for years, and couldn't believe it was finally happening.

The lady smiiled and looked at her a little funny and said "Wow, I didn't know you were all that excited."

Turns out she was asking about William and Kate! My Mum had just assumed the lady had seen our "Bride" and "Bride's Mum" tops.

:rotfl:

She must have sounded like a Royal Family stalker!

Anyway, once that was cleared up we had a lovely chat about both weddings and were soon pulling into the WL.

Once we got to the WL lobby my Aunt and Uncle and my Paren'ts friends were also already there, they were in a bit of a panic as they'd given my maiden name and there was no booking for us! (I'd booked it in Jack's name so it all got sorted fine.)

Big Dave was the only party member missing, and he'd text to say he was on his way but to start without him, so we all got seated right away.

There was 16 of us, and we got split onto two tables, but right next to each other.

It wasn't long until Dave arrived, and our server introduced himself by throwing napkins and straws all over the place!

Pretty much everyone went for the skillet, and everyone was very impressed. :cutie:

I was a little worried that WCC as a first taste of Disney for some might sort of convince them they were right to expect tackiness and greasy food, but everyone seemed to have a great time, it was lovely to chat to everyone somewhere so loud and vibrant, and we all had a laugh doing the Okey kokey (Hokey Pokey) and seeing the kids do the ketchup parade.

They also got Jack and I up and made an announcement and we had to do some napkin twirling. I was quite relieved as I had visions of us have to run around with the hobby horses! :rotfl:

After dinner we all took a trip out to the car park to admire Dave's rental car - a Mustang!!

My Dad was first in as he'd been very excited!

221628_10150545978345084_821450083_18251884_6273438_n.jpg

Jack's Mum's name is Sally, so she HAD to have a photo!

207080_10150545978590084_821450083_18251891_1006635_n.jpg

Then it was time to all head our separate ways - the next time I'd see some of these people would be the wedding!! :scared1:

Dave and Michelle were at a loose end of the evening, so I said we could all go back to AKL for a bit and hang out. Jack, Dave and Karen used WDW transport, and I rode in the Mustang with Michelle and Dave so I could get them to AKL and our room.

215378_10150545979190084_821450083_18251909_6373904_n.jpg

I was actually pretty pleased with my WDW navigation skills, all those bus rides have taught me well.

We got back to AKL really quickly, and when we went into my room there was a Christmas stocking on the bed full of little wedding essentials.....weird!

I opened the note with it and it was from my amazing wedding photographers.

Turned out at Christmas when I posted on Facebook that I'd never had a stocking (I was scared of Santa coming into my room, so he jsut left my presents downstairs) it made Jensey sad for me, so she left me a pre-Wedding stocking in my room! :lovestruc Too cute!

The rest of the evening we chilled out, I took Dave and Michelle down to the fire escape at the end of the Zebra trail to see the giraffes getting ready to go to sleep.

b56e4419.jpg

Once Jack returned we all said good night pretty early, as I had to pack up to move over the the Grand Floridian tomorrow and it was our DHS rope drop morning and Mum's time to face the twilight zone! :scared1:
