Once we got back to AKL my first priority was to shower!
Honestly my entire torso was black!!
We now have our photopass photos so here's all of us and the evil top in question:
It took Jack and I 15 minutes of scrubbing but I finally got back to my normal pasty colour!
Then we didn't have long until our suit fitters were due to arrive.
They were a local copany that a lot of Disney brides use, called Carolyn Allens, and they were such a pleasure to work with, i really recommend them.
About 10 minutes before they were due to arrive I heard a knock on the door (I'd dropped them an email when we arrived with our room number) and there were two lovely men with a huge trolley of suits in the hall.
I quickly ran across the hall to my parents room to let them know they'd arrived, and we gave Dave and Karen a call too.
While we waitied for Dave and my Dad to come over I showed the suit men our view, as they hadn't been to AKL much before. Sadly there weren't too many animals out at that point:
Luckily everyone's suits fit perfectly, so we had everything left with us, which was a big relief to me, as the logistics of getting suits delivered on the wedding morning to two resorts very far apart (AKL & GF) was giving me a bridezilla headache!
All dad needed was a different shoe size, and as they were coming to steam my wedding dress anyway and Dad was staying the GF the night before the wedding we were all OK.
The three boys looked lovely in their suits, we'd brought waistcoats from home as jack found this picture online and wanted this exact suit:
Carolyn Allen had the same jacket, shirt and trousers, but not the waistcoat, so it was a relief to be able to put our pre-purchased waistcoats with the suit and see that they all matched perfectly. Also I was happy that the men's ties were the same colour as my bridemaids dresses.
I did take a photo of the three of them all ready, but you can't see their tie colours in it. The wedding photos are much better quality!!!
After the suits were all set it was time for Jack and I to head over to CSR to meet his Mum and her boyfriend. (Sally and Richard)
We didn't know the best transfer strategy, but I knew CSR was the closest resort to us, so we didn;t want to head to MK.
A DHS bus was waiting when we got to the stop, so we jumped right on. Then luckily as we got to DHS a CSR bus was right there waiting, so it all worked out pretty well.
Soon we were arriving at CSR.
I've always loved the look of CSR (which is why I chose it as our Moderate wedding resort) so I was happy to get off the first stop and have a walk around. As we appread to be stopped near Casitas and that's the section I most liked the look of.
I quite liked the Casitas section, and took a few photos along the way:
Jack however wasn't very impressed and said he doesn't think he would like to stay there.....I'm not sure why, seemed lovely to me, I jsut think maybe it's quite similar to holidays we have in spain and it didn't feel very Disney to him....
He perked up when we saw thse guys though:
(OK, I may of forced him a little....)
Once we'd walked past El Centro we were almost at Sally's building (Cabanas 9B) and after a bit of a hunt we found their room.
Coming from AKL the room seemed pretty small and dark, but they are really nicely decorated and certainly have everything you need.
Most importantly Sally was absolutely in love with the resort, so we were both very happy.
All 4 of us headed back to El Centro and we say by the lake and had a drink and some crisps, and talked about our journey and the wedding and some bits.
The plan was to head to DTD to meet Janey and Neil for some dinner.
(Let it be known it was a Saturday night and I had mentioned a couple of times that it was not going to be very peaceful in DTD!)
In any case we got on a bus, sat in lots of traffic and eventually got to DTD.
It was pretty busy, but we had a nice time wandering the shops, Sally got a few bits for our nephews back at home, and we all had a lovely time.
But by the time we met Janey and Neil the place was heaving, ther was a line for everything, and poor Sally who had pneumonia was not feeling well.
So we all said our goodbyes and headed home.
Jack and I were pretty wiped out anyway, so we just grabbed a bagel in our room, watched some TV and sorted out some bits and pieces for the wedding. Tomorrow was a full on day so it was worth conserving energy!!
(Apologies for the lack of photos, DTD was so horribly crowded there wasn't much to photograph!)
