dreams question about hotels...

i was reading on another disney board :shocked: about how this couple booked at a value and was upgraded to a deluxe for free. Has anyone else heard anything like this before, or did that lady get a free upgrade for some other reason ?

It happens from time to time, but it is usually because the hotel they are booked at is oversold. They will hold rooms at other resorts and move people around in order to even out the counts.

It is possible that the hotel was doing a "magical moment" by picking a family to upgrade, but most of the time it is just to adjust the occupancy... it's a great deal for them either way

If it's to a whole new resort then it's likely an operational thing that just benefits the guest. If it's an internal thing (like a room upgrade in the same resort you are already staying in), then it's more than likely a 'magic moment'.

I got an upgrade from a standard view at WL to a woods view with a King size bed. I don't know if it was a dream or not, but it was awesome!!!
