Dreams - Here we come March 17, 2011

WOW! Time is flying by! I have been so stressed lately - haven't even felt like thinking about the cruise. Now I still need car and hotel for 1 night. I have not been able to get on the boards like I hoped, but still want to fo FE. Is it too late? We have 1 FE for my family, and 1 for my Mom and her husband- it's their 1st cruise:thumbsup2 Let me know- thanks :) Also, my kids are DD16, DD13, DS10 if anyone wants to meet them on the cruise and possibly hang out.

Do we have a meeting date, place, or time yet? I heard someone suggesting 3:00 on the sail date in a lounge. Anyone good with spreadsheets to add the FE friends on a list? This is our first cruise, and I am just picking up on things from the threads on the main site.

We are looking forward to the AquaDuck and food!!!

I don't mind starting a spreadsheet. Can someone give me an idea of what information I need to collect and the best way to collect it?

:wave2:Hi Everyone

DH and I booked this cruise in December. It's our 3rd cruise, and we are looking forward to seeing the Dream! I can't believe it's almost here!

We were lucky enough to get a Remy reservation for Saturday night at 7pm, but we are going to cancel it. The cruise is the 3rd leg of our week-long vacation (Leg 1 - Cape Coral to visit family and see a Twins game, Leg 2 - WDW for a night at Epcot and tix to see the Sox play the Braves at the Wide World of Sports), and we won't have enough room in our suitcases for all the dress up clothes and shoes required (DH has to bring his baseball glove, the Portland Sea Dogs seat cushions, etc, etc, etc...).

If anyone is interested in the Remy reservation, please PM me and I'll be happy to coordinate the cancellation with the first person who contacts me, so it can be available to book. :goodvibes It sounds like the meal will be absolutely amazing! :cloud9:

THANKS FOR POSTING! While I am giving the Remy some deep thought (we have a Palo reservation at that same time, so I would have to cancel Palo for Remy and Remy is a $75 up charge, right? Might be too steep for us this trip) I really appreciate your mention of the Red Sox Game!!!!!
We're definitely in for that. We should plan a meet at WWOS - Pre Cruise!

And/or anyone else for a precruise meet at WDW - maybe Wednesday night?

Last time Pm with email address and we had the name of the family and ages of kids in each room and the stateroom number. If your stateroom number changes then put a note in everyones FE with the change.

I may be leaving out something! Anyone..

Ok, I'm ready to take on starting a list for those who want to participate in the FE! Please PM me with your info.

Family Name
Adult names
Kids name and age
Stateroom number
and your email address

... and have you participated in a FE before?

I think it's so nice of KatyTxGal to take on the FE organization task. I thought I'd propose some meets and see what everyone else thinks.
So, to that end, if I can succeed in doing this, I will post a poll

OK - I didn't succed in posting the poll. :confused3
I'll try to figure it out later, but in the meantime, here's some ideas for meets
Feel free to add your own suggestion or to let us know what you think would work for you.
PRE CRUISE: WEDNESDAY 3/16
6PM - Boardwalk Belleview Lounge
8:30PM - EPCOT for Illuminations
Or maybe an Illumination wishes mad dash - Illuminations at nine and all rush to monorail to catch wishes at MK at 10
Post wishes cocktail at contemporary
CRUISE:THURSDAY 3/17
4PM at either Waves Bar or Currents Bar (Both relatively close to Deck Stage for sail away party
10pm D lounge (that seem to be a family venue)
And Maybe a post pirate party/ fireworks meet at the Meridian Bar on Friday?

Any other ideas?

Great idea, Rpsemont!
We would only be able to make the post cruise times and we are open to anything.

I've started a FE list!
Please send a PM (personal message), if anyone else has an interest. Or if you can't PM ... reply here and I will send you a PM you can reply to with your details. I would like the following information: Family Name - Adult names - Children names and ages - Stateroom number - email address - have you done a FE before?

We're sailing on the 3/17 Dream...

Myself, DH, and three sons - ages 21, 20 and 18 (he's a senior in high school). This is our 4th Disney cruise. We are also taking along my parents for their very first cruise as a retirement gift.

I'm not sure about FE ... I've got to research that a little more!

Is the group meeting onboard? If so, where/when?

Saw this on the threads today: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=40019850#post40019850 #6 I think this is probably on the side of Currents Bar.
I was looking at a navigator post from Feb 3. Looks like muster drill starts somewhere between 3:30-3:45 and 2nd sail away is at 4:30. I think Rpsemont's idea of a meet at 4:00 or just after muster drill is a good idea and Currents Bar Deck 13 Forward will be a good location. Sound good to everyone else?

If anyone is going to cancel March 17 cruise PLEASE tell me. We had it and cancelled due to baseball and just found out they changed the dates! Of course the cruise is a complete sell out - If you cannot go AND DCL can change the reservation I will actually make it worth your while..:wizard:

We're in for the Fish Extenders as well.

Is anyone else doing a B2B with the cruise on the 13th? We are doing that even though we have not told DD about cruise #2. On the 17th, we'll use the back to port day to run up to the Kennedy Space Center for a bit before having to get back to the ship (Plan on asking DD after the Space Center what she wants to do, then may say, eh, why don't we just get back on the ship). We found the thread about getting the free tickets via your congressman and sure enough, they can do that for you! Looking forward to it...

I had looked at the Navigator, too; so that was why I suggested 4PM. But maybe saying AFTER the muster drill is the best way to do it. That way, if they change the time of the muster, we're all still on the same page. Currents looks fine to me - After the muster drill.

Anyone for a pre cruise meet or post pirate party meet?

Hi everyone! Check your email accounts for the latest FE list. I'll send out another update mid week and at the end of next week.

Meet and greet for everyone interested for the 3/17 Sailing will be at the Currents Bar Deck 13, right after the muster drill. This will be just before the 2nd Sail Away Party. Hope to see all you DISer's there!

We are getting so excited! My sisters and I are going with our mother, daughters, and granddaughters. I love reading all the reports from past cruisers!
We have a cousins who really wants to join us. They've been trying to get a room for weeks now. We so very much hope they can join us! (Anyone canceling your reservation--- let me know!!)
