Do you have to enter a contest to get your dreams granted, or is this just a theme that Disney is running and by chance if they happen to pick you while you are at the park you could possible "win" something?

So many of you are such seasoned Disney goers, I feel so naive!

Sorry for my continuous silly questions!

Only 63 more days to go! Pray everyone stays Healthy!!!

I've been reading these threads till midnight, I'm hooked!!!:surfweb:

The CM's just walk around giving out special wishes. From what I heard you don't really get to pick. They kinda walk up to you and tell you you will ie. be awarded a fast pass button for the day or whatever they have to give.

No contest just luck.

The selection process is usually very specific. Some examples might be:

The 17th person passing a particular point on the exit from Buzz LightYear begining at 4:37:00. If two people are next to each other it is the person on the left.

Or another might be the person sitting in a chair closest to the fence in the 5th table from Main Street heading in the direction of the Tomorrowland Terrace at 1:13pm.

If it is a major prize where information will be required from you they will ask the person (and accompanying adult of a child fits the requirement) to come backstage.

DS and I were just minding our own business at Animal Kingdom on Monday, heading for a spin (pardon the pun!) on Primeval Whirl, when a CM came up to us and told us we had been picked to be the "Family of the Hour"....we got a certificate and the CM walked us in the back way to bypass the line for Primeval Whirl (about 30 minutes, I think), then we got to ride twice in a row without getting off (kind of cool!). Then, yesterday at Innoventions in Epcot, DS entered the line for Fantastic Plastics robot race and the CM mentioned I might want to join him in the line (hint hint). So, a few minutes later, the whole group was given Dream Fastpasses for the day at Epcot. DD was only mildly jealous about Primeval Whirl, but, this one would have gotten her a little more upset, so I held my pass until she arrived (was at MGM with DW and DMIL). The park wasn't terribly crowded yesterday, but, it was great for the kids to get an extra ride on Soarin and to be able to use the Fastpass line at Test Track even though they weren't giving Fastpasses yesterday.

Kind of fun, and definitely unexpected.
