Our original plans for this morning were to get to Magic Kingdom for rope drop, take a break by going to check in at Saratoga Springs and then head back to Magic Kingdom for dinner and Evening Extra Magic Hours.

That didn't happen. It was even better than planned!

We woke up leisurely without having to rush around because we had....BREAKFAST PLANS!

I was a little sad to be checking out of French Quarter but I knew we had a lovely resort to move too at Saratoga Springs. I was excited to see our room and the resort but first we had a breakfast to get too.

I have to agree it was sad to leave, but I was looking forward to SSR! It is a great resort!

We rolled our luggage out to the rental car and made our way over too......BEACH CLUB to eat at Cape May Cafe.

We were living the high life since we were able to valet park with Jen's Tables in Wonderland card.

I figure in Valet parking alone I have made back my money in that card LOL!!! I use it all the time at the deluxes and DVC properties when I go to eat WOOT!

We had a bit before our ADR time so we checked in and Jen took a few photos.

Before too long our buzzer went off. I noticed the CM's name tag who buzzed us and guess where she was from? Forks, Washington! All your Twilighters our there will recognize that town. I mentioned that she was from Forks and the CM said that a lot more people notice that these days. It was a neat moment.

Which I had no clue about LOL! I was Forks, Washington...Leslie likes cities named after tableware??? LOL, she filled me in pretty quickly and I was like OOOOHHHH....

We were led to our table, it was right near the buffet.

While the food was really good, the buffet was totally lost on me. I just can't eat like that anymore. It was delicious though except for the breakfast pizza....it had salsa on it and i just didn't groove on that.

The food was really good! I enjoyed it, but yes I'm pretty sure I didn't get my bang for my buck!! But the food was really fresh and good! I too didn't like the pizza LOL!

Our breakfast was delightful, but like I said the buffet was lost on me with my band. It's okay though, I think it's worth it for the characters.

Loved meeting the characters!! So much fun!


We were way early but we decided to try and see if our room was ready at SSR.

Check in was a breeze...our room was not ready but the CM said not to change it to one that was ready because it was a good one. We decided to trust her so we poked around a bit before heading over to Magic Kingdom.

I love these figures and I still regret not buying Ariel.

And I regret not getting the Aurora one!! However I will eventually get that set...maybe I'll start this fall!!!!

The pool looked like so much fun!!! It was great to explore the area!

Saratoga was just beautiful. Gorgeous! I just couldn't believe how LARGE it was. I can't imagine staying there without a car.

Have to agree with you! It is simply breathtaking and that day was gorgeous to begin with so the resort looked amazing!!!! Yes it is very large and both times I have stayed there I have been extremely thankful for a car!

With our room not ready, we decided to head to Magic Kingdom a bit earlier than we thought we had planned when we tweaked our plans.

YAY...First time over to MK!!! WOOT!!!!

I don't think I ate even half of what was on my first plate and my second plate I barely ate anything either. Oh well, I enjoyed the characters!

Yes, you do have an inkling.... I figured we were safe if the CM told us not to switch since it was a good one.

I totally get what you mean about buffet's not being worth it when you're trying to watch what you're eating. The only reason we ate at Boma as much as we did was because we were on DxDP.

SSR looks beautiful. I totally want to stay there at some point and take advantage of being so close to DTD every night!!!!


That was too funny about the hostess being from Forks!! I so want to go to Forks. I love the description of that area of Washington. My dream place to live! Love the rain!!!

I can get some really good exercise with it. I especially like to do the yoga for stretching and the strength exercises. Between that and some of the other games, you can be really active and actually burn some calories/fat. I just don't make time to do it. I'm working on that though. If you're ever headed to the east metro, PM me and come on over!!


SSR looks really beautiful!! I'm curious as to how far it was from the parks. I know you didn't bus it, but was it far? I'm guessing it can't be much farther than POR or POFQ.
We're going to Cape May Cafe in July so I'm glad to hear the food was good. I'm not so sure about salsa on a breakfast pizza either, but might give it a whirl. That's the beauty of buffets. You can taste a lot of different things. DH would love the potatoes!

THANK YOU for the review!!! I like the variety it offers, so even if I get bored with something, there would be something new. Plus it seems even the regular games on the Wii would provide some good movement!

I will keep that in mind about the east metro too! Perhaps a Wii DIS meet.

I love the cape may buffet. I like the food, love the characters, and, of course, love the beach club. I like scheduling a late breakfast so I can eat more! Haha! And I love that they take ADR's up to 11am, so its almost like lunch to me!

Can't wait to see your studio location. I'm guessing its Congress Park with a direct view of DTD. The first time I stayed at SSR it was in CP and I loved going out on the balcony each morning. It's my home resort and its been over a year since I stayed there, so I think I need a return visit!!!!!

Brook, we have Wii Fit also. I love it! They also have Wii Fit Plus, but we haven't gotten that one yet.
