Dreams Do Come True in Port Orleans. ~~*The End! Final Thoughts. 2/25 Pg. 41*~~

SSR looks awesome!!! I love the photos.

I'm a Wii Fit user, too- I have the Biggest Loser game to go along with it, too. I call it a game because I don't know what else to call it, but it is TOUGH. I was sore for 2 days after the first time I used it. It's a good workout!

Thanks for the Cape May pictures! It doesn't seem to get a lot of talk on the Dis and I was a little uncertain about that ADR but MeMom enjoyed it too so I'm trusting that we will love it!

Can't wait to see your room at SSR. I dream of a stay at the treehouses someday but I have read the same thing, you want a car if you stay there!

Saratoga Springs looks beautiful!! :cloud9:

Breakfast at Cape May looks fun too! We haven't done that one yet!
It was a great breakfast, I'd go there again but I really want to try their seafood dinner buffet next!
SSR is so gorgeous! I can't wait to see what room you got!
It is really beautiful.

I totally get what you mean about buffet's not being worth it when you're trying to watch what you're eating. The only reason we ate at Boma as much as we did was because we were on DxDP.

SSR looks beautiful. I totally want to stay there at some point and take advantage of being so close to DTD every night!!!!

That was too funny about the hostess being from Forks!! I so want to go to Forks. I love the description of that area of Washington. My dream place to live! Love the rain!!!

Great update ladies!!! Can't wait to hear what your beloved is!! :goodvibes
I really want to try Boma someday, I think Marc & I would really enjoy the different kinds of foods.

I really want to go to Washington or even up to Vancouver! It looks so beautiful up there.

Thanks so much for the pics of my home away from home. What I wouldn't give to be there now! :sad2:

So you'd recommend the Cape May character b-fast? Donald was cute w/ your Micke shirt and love the pic of Jen and Goofy hugging! I rarely get my $ worth on buffets either but if the character interaction makes up for it...

Yippee for a good room at Saratoga! :yay:
I would recommend it, the characters were pretty decent in their interactions and they seemed to move around the room pretty quickly!
You look fantastic!

Love Donald's Cape May outfit. Too cute!

SSR looks beautiful.
Thank you! The beach gear was really cute.

Brag, brag away! You look FANTASTIC! :thumbsup2 You have a Wii Fit, right? Joe and I have been talking about getting one, but I don't know anyone who has one to get a review of it!

Cape May breakfast always sounds gooooooooooooood! Yum! And I love the characters in their beach gear! That picture of Donald covering up your shirt is completely adorable.

And Henry's Dut Dut! :cutie: :goodvibes I love that his sprayers are on! They never were the week we were there. SSR is HUGE, it got to be a bit much with all the walking when we were there without a car. But, still provided a beautiful walk!

I see you get your beloved next...I know what that is! A certain goody from the Lunching Pad, right? :hyper:
Thanks!

I have the Wii fit but am still just a teeny bit over the weight limit so I haven't used it yet. Let me tell you about my favorite Wii exercise game....EA SPORTS ACTIVE! It's the best game ever. It's the only thing that can get me exercising. You can use it with the Wii board or not. You burn so many calories, they have "regular" exercises and then sports game like basketball, volleyball....it's awesome. I sweat my butt off and no other Wii game makes me do that yet!

I have a Wii Fit. Love it. If I used it more, it would be better. LOL!
I can get some really good exercise with it. I especially like to do the yoga for stretching and the strength exercises. Between that and some of the other games, you can be really active and actually burn some calories/fat. I just don't make time to do it. I'm working on that though. If you're ever headed to the east metro, PM me and come on over!!

SSR looks really beautiful!! I'm curious as to how far it was from the parks. I know you didn't bus it, but was it far? I'm guessing it can't be much farther than POR or POFQ.
We're going to Cape May Cafe in July so I'm glad to hear the food was good. I'm not so sure about salsa on a breakfast pizza either, but might give it a whirl. That's the beauty of buffets. You can taste a lot of different things. DH would love the potatoes!
Have you tried EA Sports Active? it's a great game!

It wasn't too far. Jen, do you remember how long the car ride was? It wasn't much longer than POR or POFQ...I do remember that.

You girls are looking so good. Jen I like your shirt. LL you have a blog. I would love the link. I love blogs. I can't wait to see where your room is. I think we may do quite a few buffets only because I know Lexi won't really like the kids menus for the whole 10 days we are down there.
Thank you! I will PM you the link to my blog. :goodvibes
Love that you went to Cape May! I cannot wait to go there this June... the characters look so super cute!

Off to Mk- cannot wait to hear about it and see your SSR room location.
They are very cute!

LL:

I do love your most recent picture! You look great and I love that Mickey shirt (even if Donald, or what is Goofy?, didnt)

I love the cape may buffet. I like the food, love the characters, and, of course, love the beach club. I like scheduling a late breakfast so I can eat more! Haha! And I love that they take ADR's up to 11am, so its almost like lunch to me!

Can't wait to see your studio location. I'm guessing its Congress Park with a direct view of DTD. The first time I stayed at SSR it was in CP and I loved going out on the balcony each morning. It's my home resort and its been over a year since I stayed there, so I think I need a return visit!!!!!
Thanks on the picture! Have you tried the seafood buffet they do at night? I really want to try that but don't hear too much about it.

You will just have to wait and see about our studio location!

Aww, love the pictures of SSR. I wish I was there now too...guess I'll have to wait until December!
You aren't going again until December? That seems like a really long time!

I comment almost every time you post! :rolleyes1
Yes! You do! And I really really appreciate it.

Cape May looks like fun! I'll have to put that one on the list for a future trip with the boys. We've never made our way over to that area.

Very cool that the CM was from Forks. :thumbsup2

I'm excited to see the room you got at SSR.
It's a neat area to explore, I hadn't really ever been over there either.

Brook, we have Wii Fit also. I love it! They also have Wii Fit Plus, but we haven't gotten that one yet.
We have the Wii fit plus but like I said, haven't tried it yet.

I think you will enjoy it! Where we were seating wasn't too loud either so that is always a plus.

The Biggest Loser IS tough! I was very sore when I did it. I only borrowed it from Gamefly and ended up sending it back. It gives a good workout, but I just didn't have fun with it.

I'm getting ready to try EA Sports Active for the first time today! :yay:

Cape May breakfast always sounds gooooooooooooood! Yum! And I love the characters in their beach gear!

It has been my favorite breakfast buffet to this point. The food was so good, and the characters were just cute as could be in their beach clothes. And the location is lovely!

Thanks for the great update, girls!
Looking good, LL!

You two got to do Cape May after all! :yay: Glad you had a great time with the characters.

The breakfast pizza had salsa? Sounds like a different pizza than what we had which I really liked. Don't remember it having salsa at all. :confused3

Yes, we did! When we decided to eat there again, I thought of you and how much you enjoyed your breakfast there.

It has some sort of tomato/salsa thing. It wasn't just plain tomato either...it had a salsa consistency to it.

Biggest Loser didn't look like too much fun to me. I really love EA Sports Active, it is so much fun. I like the add on even better too with the more games.

I just did my first day on it. I love it! :thumbsup2 I don't like the leg strap thing though. I have to make it really tight to get it to stay in place.

And man - in line skating is a killer on my thighs! I'll have to look into the add on.

In line skating is really tough!

The leg strap takes getting used to but now I don't even feel it. You have to put it really tight to get it stay.

The add on has step aerobics that I really love. Plus the running has sprints and has this game where you run past people. It's more motivating.

Thought I would hop in on the Wii conversation...

I was going to get the biggest loser one but on LL's advice, I went with the sports active. I like is but am not crazy about the resistance band it comes with. I'm going to try shortening it to see if that helps but I may just go buy a different one. I agree, the leg band is hard to get used to but you do eventually.

We recently upgraded our cable plan and now get FitTV and am trying to find something I like that is at my level (very VERY beginner!) I did a body sculpt this morning that I liked.

Has anyone tried the one that comes with the "eye" (can't think of it's name, not a Wii game but I think is compatable) It looks interesting too

I never even saw any info on how to attach the band to the handles so I just tied the ends?? :confused3 And I end up having to leave a lot of it loose between my fit to make it tight enough. I should just make it shorter.

Do you have wii fit plus? That one is fun too, but I don't think it gives as good of a workout. Although the hula hooping is killer. :rolleyes1

Just booked a Cape May breakfast today before I read your last update. Was thrilled to see the pictures. Like you said, the money's really more about the characters than the food so I don't mind either.

If you look in the instuction book, it's pretty hidden... place one end of the elastic band across the handle (forming a + basically) then pull the large loop of the handle through the small loop and pull tight. It sounds wierd but works great!

I only have the Wii fit that came with the board and haven't tried it much. I'm going to have to eplore a bit.

First of all, you look great!! :thumbsup2

I just love Saratoga, it's my favorite resort thus far. :lovestruc I just feel very calm and peaceful there - sigh - wish I was there right now!!

You dieting ladies went to Cape May :confused3 Good restraint though! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see the room locale and what craziness you got up to at MK. However, based on your clothes and your PP pics...I can guess ;)

Yeah the band isnt' the greatest but maybe because I'm taller it doesn't bother me as much??

Thank you! I wish I was anywhere on Disney property right about now! :rotfl:

Yes, we did. I can't gorge myself so it doesn't happen anymore. Not unless I want to be sick. :rotfl2:

We left off with checking into Saratoga Springs and heading to Magic Kingdom!

I couldn’t believe I had been in Disney for FOUR nights and hadn’t made it to Magic Kingdom yet. I was ashamed of myself!

I have to admit I was a bit shocked when you told me this!! I was like REALLY?? You haven't been to MK yet???

We got into the Ticket & Transportation parking lot….where we had to wait for the SLOWEST family ever.

I was ready to pull my hair out. They had a bazillion children, kind of like a mini Duggar Family. They were spilling out of their van, the back door was open into our parking space so we had to wait for them to close it until we could pull up far enough into our space. It was just like watching a train wreck. I couldn’t imagine how they made it once they actually got into the park.

We took the monorail over to the MK and before too long we were through bag check, the turnstiles and onto Main Street. Ahhhh, Main Street. The feeling of peace that overcomes me when I step onto never ceases to amaze me.

There is something very very special about your first steps on to Main Street! You get that quintessential Disney feeling!

We took a peek into the Fire Station because neither of us had ever been inside. It was very neat, I was hoping to find a pin from the 101 Dalmatians because my coworker had them on her pin list but I had no luck.

Loved looking at the stalls in the back...very well done with the details!!

Next we went into the Main St. Emporium where Jen was on the lookout for sunglasses. She liked the headband look for her hair and since I was achieving the same look with my sunglasses she wanted to snag a pair too. She did find a cute pair. We moseyed along, trading some pins and such to the end of the store near Casey’s where Jen got in the slowest moving line thanks to a group of women who cut in front of her. I, took a gander outside and caught some of the Move It, Shake It, something or other parade.

I took these pictures while Jen was waiting in line.

After Jen made it out of the store, we decided to hit up Tomorrowland first.

I waited in line for a good 20 or so minutes...it was ridiculous...OY!! I felt really bad for the CM who was ringing up the people in front of me! It was nice to talk to her for a few minutes!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2118.jpg

We took a cruise on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority where we took some goofy pictures.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2139.jpg

After TTA, we of course had to journey through progress on that special Carousel. We had front row seats, a first for me and I saw a lot of teeny details I had missed before.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2144.jpg

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2149.jpg

Then it was TIME.

TIME for what?

Any guesses??

TIME for a CREAM CHEESE PRETZEL.

So delicious!! I even bought a slushie coke to go with it. The first soda like product I’ve had since surgery. I ended up throwing it away after sucking down half of it because I was afraid it would bother me.
I’m sad to report that I couldn’t even eat half of my beloved. It was delicious and I’m glad that I had Jen to share it with.

SO YUMMY!!! Both were really good I was glad we were able to share such a nice treat!

Continued in next post...

Jen decided to skip Space Mountain since she had plans to ride it on Tuesday before going home so we headed to Fantasyland to get Fastpasses for Peter Pan. I just realized that we never got Figaro Fries! How sad.

I know I realized that when we got back...oh well it's always nice to have a Next Time list LOL!

After obtaining Fastpasses, we headed to Haunted Mansion! I had to convince Jen that she didn’t want to become the 1,000th Happy Haunt and that we had a very special Princess to meet!

I would have been totally okay with becoming the 1000th Happy Haunt!! I could have just stayed there ALL DAY LONG!!!

It was time to meet Princess Tiana. She was away from her little gazebo in Liberty Square but she was supposed to be back in about 15 minutes. There were a few groups in front of us but we were willing to wait.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2166.jpg

Let me just say that I love kids, I plan to have a few myself but what I can’t stand are parents who let their kids just run wild. There was this one little girl who was just doing whatever she wanted, she couldn’t have been more than 3. She kept wandering out of the line, trying to go find her Dad who wasn’t in line and it got to the point where I was watching what she was doing because I didn’t want her to get hurt. Then the Dad comes back and he doesn’t pay ANY attention to the little girl while the Mom runs out of line. It was awful. It drove me nuts, I didn’t want this little girl to get lost. There was another little girl in line who was the sweetest little thing EVER and her Mom was with her and she was pregnant with twins and she said she was almost 8 months along. EEK!

Finally Tiana and Naveen came out and the line started moving. This was my favorite character meet of the trip. We explained to them that we were friends on a trip and we left the husbands at home. Tiana picked up on that immediately and said, Oh yeah, I need girl time too away from Naveen. It was so cute and then Naveen acted like his feelings were hurt but then he said that he had guy time with Prince Eric and Aladdin! Oh, it was just so cute. I loved meeting them and I hope they become permanent characters out in the park.

Tiana and Naveen were great and so funny! I loved the Prince Eric and Aladdin line...should of asked what they do for guy time??? I really enjoyed this meet!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2174.jpg

My favorite picture of myself on this trip!
16742180001.jpg

After our meet, I needed to use a bathroom BADLY. All I can remember from the walk over to the Columbia Harbour House bathroom was that people kept cutting me off and being rude and it was making me cranky. Finally, we made it to the bathroom and decided to catch the next show of Hall of President’s. We were let in pretty quickly and when we found seats, Jen got a phone call and decided to go outside to take it so I enjoyed the show by myself.

This is such a well done update. I will admit, I became teary eyed a few times. I think it’s really well done and I could see myself catching this show each trip. I caught up with Jen after and we decided to head to the Riverboat where I encountered more rude people.

We decided to find a spot on the top deck towards the back of the boat so that we were overlooking the paddle. A nice person offered to take this picture of us….

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2192.jpg

And then when we turned back to look over the water, a woman came up to me…LITERALLY ELBOWED ME and pushed me aside so she could squeeze in! No apologies, no excuse me, just an elbow to the ribs. I was FUMING mad. The rude people were just too much. And it’s not like the boat was crowded! It was practically empty, plenty of railing space all around the boat, just not next to me. Sigh. It was a lovely boat ride though and I enjoyed seeing the park from a new perspective. It was really neat to see the 3PM parade come through too as our boat was departing.

A little side note...best part of the ENTIRE boat ride...how close you get to the Haunted Mansion! I couldn't believe how close I was to my beloved and what great NEW shots I got of the mansion! I WAS SO EXCITED! I will be going back on the boat just to get a closer look at HM again!!

After our ride, Jen went to get fastpasses for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad while I sat on a bench. When she was finished we headed towards Main Street and the little side street where you can hear the piano and singing lessons. I was a little perturbed because our room number hadn’t been texted to my phone yet and it should have been. So I called the main Disney number to get the number to Saratoga Springs since I had left it in the car. They gave me the number to Coronado Springs Resort. Finally after a lot of explaining and switching around, I was connected to someone at SSR and got our room number. Phew. By the time my long phone call was over, it was almost time to check in at The Plaza so we headed over there.

The phone calls were a little frustrating but amusing...I was just glad we had our room number!

Coming Up….

A Delicious Dinner.

The Rudest People EVER.

Was our Magic Kingdom Day ruined?
