I'm not allowed to say anything about Jen's October plans but I will say that my Disney plans are NOT in October.

Friday January 15th.
Jen and I were up bright and early this morning. In fact, I woke up about 15 minutes before the alarm was due to go off so I got up and showered early.
I did more blister prevention this morning. I had a routine at this point. First I put on the Asic brand anti chafe cream, kind of like body glide. Then I would let that dry and then put the powder into my sock and swish it around. I also wore my double layer socks that I bought for the first time on this trip. I was anxious but I was prepared. In my park bag I made sure to pack extra body glide packets, bandaids, moleskin and blister bandaids.
It was a process to say the least.
I had a bit of a food protection process too!! Leslie was kind enough to let me borrow her foot powder and I swished that around my sock and then I band-aided up the areas I knew were sensitive!! We were quite the pair when it came to our feet LOL (Pun was totally not intened).
We left our room at just about 8AM and headed to Hollywood Studios. We were the FIFTH car in the parking lot. I was amazed. We made it on the tram and then to the turnstiles and Jen was the FIRST person in line. We had good mojo going this morning.
I may or may not have had a first at the turnstile dance that I participated in!! It was great fun!!!
We met a very nice couple in line I believe they were from Texas. Is that right, Jen? That is correct, they were from the Dallas area! I had a great time talking to them about things in Texas!!! They were old park pros and I was telling them about the horror of the TSM stampede the previous day. I was nervous to say the least. Jen and I agreed that I would stay back and just let her go for the fastpasses and we would meet at the standby line when I got there. I would NOT be trampled two days in a row.
When they let us into the street up to the rope, Jen was right up against the rope and I was a few people back. The nice couple let me cut in front of them to be with Jen.
We watched the morning show and then we were OFF.
Or were we?
This day the CMs made a chain, linked arms and everything and led the crowd towards Toy Story Mania. They most definitely did NOT do this the day before. This way is so much better. It made me wonder if someone had gotten hurt the previous day and they had decided to go back to doing this. In September 2008 they had done this when Marc & I had done rope drop for TSM. They were pulling people out of line who were running, people were much more calm and orderly and when we got to the TSM area we had green army men barking out orders to march nicely. Much, much better than the day before.
Jen was the second person at her fast pass machine and we were quickly in the standby line. We didnt wait very long, even shorter of a wait I had the previous day.
Apparently the mojo was following with me, because for the first ever I was behind someone that was quick and the machine worked!! It was great to get in and get out of that line and meet up with Leslie to ride standby!!
Jen beat me. Bah! But I had better accuracy.
Accuracy always thwarts me LOL!!! I did have a lot of fun playing the game!!

After TSM, I noticed that Buzz and Woody were in the window of their greeting area. They werent scheduled to be out until 10 so I was excited. We hopped in line.

I love this picture of us! Its so cute. We only had to wait a few minutes too, that made it even better. Character mojo was with us that is for sure!!!
When we got out, we saw that the green army men were still out. So we got in a line. When he was done with the little girl in front he just marched away! The CM told us to follow him and we did.
I wish we had done pictures with us saluting oh well. Oh that would have been such a cute idea!!
We decided to head over to The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, we had about 10 minutes to catch the next show. We made it and got to sit in the front row. Jen, you did a bandaid maneuver in this show, right? Yup, I was feeling a bit of discomfort but after some quick fixing everything was okay, I would still be a bit paranoid throughout the day. However I think we both agree a lot of it was probably just in my head LOL!!!

The show was just as wonderful as I remembered. Little Mermaid is still my favorite Disney Princess movie.
It was a great show!! I really liked the Under the Sea scene!!!
After Little Mermaid we decided to grab another set of TSM fastpasses and then ride Great Movie Ride. Jen of course requested the Cowboy scene and that is the one we got. We had a great older gentleman as our CM and I really enjoyed his take on the narration.
I love me that Cowboy scene, only the 2nd time I have ever seen it, both times with Leslie!!! I just get so excited when the bank explodes...great stuff!!!!
I had been exchanging texts with Melissa (mickeysmyboy) throughout the morning and during the ride she told me that they were headed in our direction. So once we got off GMR, we hung around and sure enough after a few minutes her family was there.
She was so delightful and her kids were beautiful. Her youngest son was quite the flirt with us! Her DH was gracious enough to take a picture of us. What a great DISmeet! I really enjoyed meeting up with Melissa and her family! I enjoyed talking hockey with her hubby! Prince P would have been proud LOL!!!
After saying our goodbyes, Jen and I headed over to the first American Idol show. Neither of us had seen it before and it was on my list of must dos and Im glad we did. It was quite enjoyable! I have to admit I wasn't sure about it, because I haven't watched American Idol before!! I was glad we did it, was very fun!
Our first singer was a 14 year old girl and I dont remember what she sang. Do you, Jen? She was quite good! You could tell she was nervous but she did a really good job. I have to agree, did a great job!! She sang a song by Taylor Swift I believe, Our Song!!!
Next was a female singer, probably around our age and she sang Reflections from Mulan. I think Reflections is what it is called. She did really well! I liked her a lot. She had a amazing voice!!!
Third was a gentleman from England, who wore manpris and who sang Billy Ray Cyrus song Achy Breaky Heart. It was funny, he sang okay but the choice of song was just too much for me to take him seriously.You have to give kudos to him though, it takes guts to sing that song in front of a crowd LOL!!!! I would have never done it LOL!
The judges were good, they really were good imitations of the real AI judges.
I was very happy that the second singer won! She really deserved it.
After Idol we walked towards the Animation Building. We tried to go through the gift shop like we did in May but there was a CM stationed there and they would not let us through. So we had to go through the main entrance but they did have a path so you didnt have to sit through the video.
We got inside and Sorcerer Mickey didnt have a line!! So we met him, the CMs surrounding Mickey were less than great. They werent really paying attention to their jobs so we quickly moved on to the Up Characters.
I was very excited to meet them, we passed on them in May and I regretted that. We only had about five minutes to wait and it was our turn.
Jen has been planning on telling Dug, SQUIRREL! And she did. It was really funny because Dug perked right up and tried to find the squirrel. I really loved meeting them. They were so cute. I like our pictures too. They came out well. The "Squirrel" line was a lot of fun!!! Dug acted just as if he had seen the squirrel...way to funny!!!
After meeting the Up Character we decided to head towards Muppets. On the way we stopped at Writers Stop and ordered the delicious carrot cake cookie to share. We noticed that they had the Mary Poppins cookbooks here too! We almost bought them but didnt want to have to carry them for the rest of the day.
Lets chat about the carrot cake cookie, shall we?
So.
Freaking.
Yummy.
It was so good, so rich, so sweet, SO YUMMY! Im glad we split it and even then we didnt finish it all because we had an unexpected lunch ADR coming up. We had added it this morning before we left the room. Im not telling where yet because Im mean like that. The carrot cake cookie was the perfect mid-morning snack.
Ditto to everything you said!! The cookie was so good, but so rich!!! My favorite part was definitely the icing...such good cream cheese icing!
Jen took this picture for Patricia and her Alice Birthday preparations.
We explored the Streets of America. Stopping at the Chinese Laundry to take pictures for Jordan. Awful pictures but there you go. That is my princess kung-fu in case you are wondering Jordan!!!
Then we went to the Singing in the Rain umbrella and tried to do not so normal poses. I love these pictures of us, I think they are going to get framed and placed on my wall at work!!!
We decided to hit up Muppets 3D. It was good show like always but Im ready for an update. I love the muppets and they deserve better. We browsed around the Muppet shop and then decided to check in for our lunch early at ..

Thank you. We had a really great trip. I like writing about it while it's all still fresh in my mind.
I'm sorry about October. You, MEK and maybe CP (who I was going to convince to take another trip) are the main reasons it was hard for me to let go of October but I just don't think it's going to work out. Who knows though, things might change.
It was much better! I can't say enough good things about that carrot cake cookie, so yummy.
