Dreams Do Come True in Port Orleans. ~~*The End! Final Thoughts. 2/25 Pg. 41*~~

:thumbsup2 great job on the weight loss Leslie! I think it's great that you are focusing on that! I have been way slacking on my TR this week too - Life just gets in the way of DISing sometimes. We'll all still be here when you are able to join us!
I peruse and read a lot without commenting. Especially if I'm reading it on my iphone. Too hard for me to type a lot, but it's pretty easy to read.

I hope the painting went well...
Oy to painting, I really hate it let me tell you. The rooms are looking better though so that is good.

Congrats on the weight loss!!! You are doing such a great job!
Thank you!

WOW! You know I've said this before, but I truly think that what you've done and are doing is absolutely amazing!!! Congrats on 60 lbs!!!

We'll be here waiting when you can get back on the dis track!
Thank you, it's hard work but it's worth it!

Congratulations on the weight loss, Leslie! You look amazingly hott, friend!

:cool1:

Don't worry about us. We'll be right here waiting whenever you have time to update. (At least I will because I don't have a life!)
Hehehe, I don't know about that but thank you!

Congratulations on the weight loss! Take your time with the trip report; we'll be waiting when you're ready!

Denise
Thank you!

We will be here waiting. Congrats on the weight loss and exercising... just imagine how great you will feel by the time you go to Disney next!
I really can't wait to get to Disney again...whenever that may be. I will be a lean mean walking machine!

Why don't we all just come up and help you paint, and you can tell us all about your trip in person? :)

Yay for a new apartment and the great weight loss. :cool1:
That is the best idea EVER! Come on up!! I will put you to work.

No problem, you just keep up the great work in the weight loss department! Talk about a slacker in the trip reports.....who isn't finished with her first full day at Disney?:rolleyes1
Hehehe, that's okay. I was just hoing to get this wrapped up more quickly before I forgot everything. :rotfl2:

Congrats on the weight loss! Thank you for sharing such great news with us!
I just started my TR, and worry I may get into lulls, but I also know all the wonderful friends here will be there to read when you're reading to report :goodvibes
If you are interested in my TR (you can just read and not comment) PM me! :)
Thank you!! PM me the link to your TR!!

Caught up finally!

Love those Pink Leopard Ears!! My DD would so love those! I will have to remember those when we are there in July..hopefully they will still be there!
I love my pink leopard ears, they were so much fun to wear around.

Congrats on the weight loss :yay:
Thank you!

Wonderful news on the weight loss and as everyone has already said, don't worry about the TR, we will be here!
Thank you!

That's wonderful news. About the weight loss I mean. I'm not the speediest writer either so I understand.
Thanks.

Hi LL, wonderful updates! It is so strange reading about your trip now that ours is over, I am comparing it to what we did all the time - and there are a few similarities... :rolleyes1

Don't worry about real life making you slower on updating! And especially since you are using it for your weight loss!! Your health is so much more important than the DIS!! :goodvibes Congratulations on your acchievement so far! :cheer2::cheer2:
Oooh, similarities?? I can't wait to hear about them!

don't worry--I believe your loyal following will not disappear just because you space out the postings!!

Congratulations on the weight loss!! :woohoo:
Thank you!

Congrats on the weight loss! That is crazy- 60 pounds. Wow. You are an inspiration.
Thanks!

We left off with Jen & I solving our hair problems with cute leopard print Mickey ears and the rain going away and hopefully staying away.

From the outpost, we headed to Germany…(I think that is next, isn’t it? I always get the WS order messed up.) I needed to use the restroom and I wanted to take my long sleeve shirt off, I was starting to get warm. We saw that Snow White would be out in a few minutes so Jen took some pictures and when I was finished I met her over by Snow White’s wishing well. I think we were the 2nd or 3rd group in line. I made sure that Jen took a picture of Snow White by herself for my cubicle mate at work. She now has that picture hanging at her desk. This was one awesome looking Snow White, she was born to be Snow White.

I had never noticed the well before as part of her backdrop. I really like that addition and it makes for a very very cute picture!

We then moved on to Italy. I think Italy is my least favorite pavilion. It just doesn’t do it for me. Plus I get my MIL’s annoying voice in my head blabbering on about her Italian heritage. Jen took some pictures and we moved on quickly.

I also wasn't too keen on staying too long in Italy, because apparently all of the high schoolers on property that day were oozing out of Italy and it was time to move on LOL! I was on vacation no highschoolers for me!

We weren’t doing a lot of stopping and looking around. I don’t really regret that either, do you Jen? We have both been to Disney frequently over the last year or so and I feel like I didn’t need to look at every nook and cranny. I suspect this helped with avoiding the Epcot Overload.

No regrets here, I really enjoyed our afternoon at EPCOT. It was very relaxing and I was able to take some different pictures I had never taken before!

We both agreed that we had to see American Adventure. We were a bit early but we sat down and waited for the show to being. Voices of Liberty were not performing this day so that was a bit of a bummer for us. We grabbed ourselves excellent seats for the show, front and center. I loved the show as always, my one complaint…it’s time to retire Tiger Woods the ending montage….just my two cents. I think when he flashed across the scene Jen and I both turned too each other. Hehehe. We think alike.

LOL sure enough we did both look at each other, it was quite amusing! I so love this show and the music throughout it!! I was glad to once again get a flag picture without causing great peril to myself on the escalator LOL!

Next was Japan. I think we looked in the store here, or Jen went in and I stayed outside. I’m foggy on this. Maybe Jen remembers better.

I went in and you just did some people watching! I was on a mission to find a brush but had yet to find one! I also just enjoy all the different things to be found in the Japan store!!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2584.jpg

Anyhoo, after we trekked to Morocco.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2590.jpg

Then made our way over to France and another princess. I had this Belle in September 2008 and she has greatly improved!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2593.jpg

As we continued walking in France, I was very excited to see Marie!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2597.jpg

She is the cutest little thing EVER. I totally agree, I really like this picture!!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2599.jpg

Then we hopped in line to meet Aurora.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2601.jpg

I was a bit disappointed in our Aurora, she seemed like she was very anxious to get rid of us which was sad as she is my favorite princess!!

Jen went to explore and I found a bench to people watch. I was enjoying World Showcase much more by not running myself ragged. My feet were holding up and I was feeling good!

Continued in the next post....

Jen met back up with me and we walked towards United Kingdom. My very favorite pavilion. My mom just recently found a bunch of pictures of my relatives from England. My great grandmother and then her mother and sisters growing up in England. They were fascinating. I think that explains my love of the UK pavilion.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2622.jpg

We went to the Toy shop to find the Mary Poppins cookbooks. We bought them, we had a plan! We asked when Mary Poppins would be out again and it was just in a few minutes. Jen staked out a spot where someone said she came out and I staked out a spot where I had seen her before. Of course she went to Jen’s area but she did walk past me. We were second in line. We had her sign our cookbooks!

I went first.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2623.jpg

Then Jen. She had the better experience. MP went through pages and pages of her cookbook looking at the recipes. It was so cute!

What I loved about this the most was how in character she was! As we were talking she just rattled off all this stuff about Mary Poppins including having every other Tuesday off!! It was great!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2629.jpg

I believe it was about 1PM at this time. We had a lunch ADR at Rose & Crown for 2:05PM. If you hadn’t noticed…we had decided to give up Marrakesh in favor of Rose & Crown lunch and then a carriage ride at Riverside. Our Epcot day got cut way short but we really liked our evening plans so we were okay with that.

This trip had a lot of changes but they were all for the best! What I loved was that we were so "Go with the flow" and we really just relaxed and enjoyed our time!

We checked in early and they told us about 15 minutes, less than 5 and we were called in. We got a lovely outdoor table. I just love Rose & Crown. I think my favorite part are the accents! Hehehehe...me too!

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2632.jpg

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2634.jpg

We ordered this lovely salad to start. It was the best. I dream about this salad.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2638.jpg

Then Jen ordered Fish and Chips.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2642.jpg

I ordered the Cottage Pie.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2641.jpg

And we both ordered Yorkshire Pudding on the side.
DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2640.jpg

The Yorkshire Pudding was very good…but I think my mom’s is a teeny bit better. I liked my Cottage Pie and I’m glad I tried it BUT I should have gone with the Fish N’ Chips. They are just so yummy that I was jealous of Jen’s food. Hehehe.

I loved this meal! I give yorkshire pudding 2 thumbs up and would gladly get it again. However I was so glad I went with the fish and chips once again it was a huge hit and I savored every single bite!!

After our delicious lunch, we headed back over to Future World to get another ride in on Soarin’, our third of the day! Wonderful as always. It turned out that we sat in each section on our three rides so it was neat to see the different perspectives.

After Soarin’, Jen wanted to do the Visa Meet N’ Greet. I’m glad we took the time to do it. Speaking of which, I still haven’t gotten a frame for our picture. I must do that this weekend.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2646.jpg

Jen tried to take Pluto home with her and Mickey was not having his best pup taken away from him though. I think Pluto was looking forward to an adventure before Mickey stopped him.

I really would liked to take Pluto home with me!! It was once again a great interaction!!!

We decided to do one more ride on Spaceship Earth before we went to pick up our photos from the meet and greet.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2659.jpg

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2657.jpg

After our journey through time, we went to the photo center and picked out our photos. I went with a group one because the ones of just me were truly hideous. Jen picked out a super cute one of her and Pluto. I loved it.

I need to take a page from your to-do list and go get a frame for that one!!

On the way out we had a picture of us taken in front of Spaceship Earth. Underneath is a picture from our May 2009 trip. Look at the difference! It’s crazy. I’m so proud of us.

Ahh...R&C. I loved that cottage pie. :cloud9: And holy cow was there no one else in the restaurant??

You don't like the Italian pavilion? :faint: Have you seen the men?? ;)

I never ever tire of the American Adventure either. I would have snickered at Tiger too... wonder if they will edit that? :confused3

Have either of you made anything out of your Mary Poppins cookbooks yet?

Looks like a lovely WS afternoon... my favorite place in all the World! :thumbsup2

Those were truly beautiful pictures of your time in the World Showcase. :goodvibes Lots of views and perspectives I haven't seen before. :thumbsup2

Such a neat idea to have Mary Poppins sign the cookbook! I need to think of something like that.

The picture of you two in front of SE is awesome. You both look fantastic!

Congratulations to both of you! I knew you lost weight, but seeing the two pix together really shows how much! :thumbsup2

LOL at running away from the HS kids in Italy!

And Boo-Hoo that you did not get to hear VOL!

It's so nice to do the WS in such a leisurely fashion. :goodvibes

Kathy

Bless you for writing an update today! I am sitting here at work with another hour and a half before I can go home! Reading about the rest of your Epcot day has lessened the pain. :goodvibes

I hadn't noticed Snow White's wishing well before either.

I am with Christine -- have you not seen the Italian men at the pavilion??? :rotfl:

What a cute idea to have Mary Poppins sign your cookbooks, and your Rose and Crown lunch looks so delicious. Wish I could fit in a meal there this summer.

DisneyJan2010Day1andDay2613.jpg

This is my favorite picture of the two of you!

Wow. Just wow! You can soooo see the difference in your two photos, you should be extremely proud of yourselves. :thumbsup2

"Go with the flow" schedules are so relaxing... .and is that a nod to Jordan I see in your Spaceship Earth photos? :rotfl2:
