Hello, everyone! My DH (35), DDs (7 & 3) and I (34) just returned from a 6 day trip to Disney World. We had such a fabulous time! Before we left, I had read about the Year of a Million Dreams, but never thought we'd win anything. In fact, during our first few days in the parks, we only saw a handful of people with the dream fastpasses, lanyards and Mickey ears. Imagine my surprise and excitement when the Dream Team found US... TWICE!:yay: :cheer2: :woohoo:

We first met the Dream Team while in MGM. We decided to go on the Great Movie Ride first thing in the morning. When we boarded, the Dream Team gave us dream fastpasses! I was SO excited!!! Funny thing is, MGM was not crowded (we walked on the ToT several times!) and we never used our fastpasses, but we have a wonderful souvenir to remind us of our fortune.

Our second meeting with the Dream Team was while my oldest DD and I were getting on Mission: Space. They handed us lanyards and pins - how cool! Unfortunately for us, we weren't interested in pin collecting/trading until we received these pins. Fortunately for Disney, they collected almost $100 from our family from the sale of pins that they ordinarily would not have received from us. At any rate, we have another great souvenir to remind us of our fabulous Disney trip.

Finally, although this wasn't a Dream Team moment, my oldest DD received one of the Tinker Bell pins that you cannot purchase and can only receive from a cast member. She was THRILLED that she was so fortunate to receive such a special pin. I was thrilled when she generously gave the other Tinkerbell pin (they come in sets of 2 - one for you, one for someone else) to a cast member that didn't have any "special pins." It was so nice to see that my little girl was actively looking for that special someone to give such a special pin.

No, we didn't receive a night in Cinderella Castle, nor did we receive a vacation club villa, but we did get a whole lot of magic and 3 special gifts that we never expected. We had a wonderfully magical time in Disney and dreams just topped the cake.:wizard:

We had a GREAT time at WDW!!! We had the free dining also - just lucked into it and am sooooo glad we did. We could have spent a small fortune in food, but didn't. (Yet, we ate like pigs!) I'll try to post a TR soon...

Have fun on your trip!

You are SO right!

So happy for you :goodvibes so still sad we got nothing:sad2:!
I really just wanted some ears!
My DD was told by a CM that that they WERE NOT ALLOWED to trade/or give away those tink pins.

What a great trip!

glad you got a fair share of Disney Magic while you were there !!!!!!

(even gladder (:goodvibes ) that you didn't need to use your fastpass!!!! Since I leave in just 6 days...

That sounds great. We too got a little Magic one day in Dec. '06 while waiting on line for EPCOT to open. My father in law took DS2 at the time out of line and was pointing out the "Big Meatball" to him when a CM asked my DS if he had a sister, which he promptly responded with her name. They then took us into the park and gave my kids pirate and princess semi outfits as they were opeining the park that day. We did the count down and my DD waved her wand and my DS Said "Argghh" over the loud speaker and the park was open. My DD got a one of kind pin. My kids still talk about that.

Thanks for being happy for me! I'm so sorry you didn't get anything... :( BUT, I hope you had a wonderful time anyway! :)

I don't have all the details about the Tink pins, but I do know that there are 3 different kinds the CMs give away. There are 2 pins per package - one for you and one for you to give away (it states this clearly on the paper backing - it's even perforated so you can tear it easily when giving the 2nd pin away). The CM that gave it to my DD said that they are special pins. The cannot be purchased and must be gotten through trading with others or through a CM. I don't think they give them away if you ask for them - I think they try to keep it somewhat random or give them away if they see you doing something nice - that's where the details get cloudy for me.

What a great trip!

Good luck to you! I hope you have the same luck we had with the walk on rides. :)
