Dreamliner

A friend of mine is one of the pilots whos been training on it, flying all around the UK for the past month. He said theyve had a few issues with the toilet door, aparantly its different to normal planes and some people have struggled with it. The toilet itself automatically shuts before it will flush :-) I think Thomsons Dreamliner comes into service soon, and he said it is proving very popular and might be difficult to get a flight only deal for next year.

They only fly on Friday's from Manchester on the Dreamliner so options on dates are limited.

With all its problems, and subsequent checks, double checks and now triple checks it will probably end up being one of the safest LOL.

I wanted to try it but Every time I've priced it up though its been the same price as I could get with Virgin M+M flights and I could fly on any weekday.

I'm TOTALLY with you. We considered flying Dreamliner tomorrow - so glad we switched to VA on Saturday!

Hi

Flew out on the inaugural flight on mon 8th and returned 22 July. we flew economy, outound flight was excellent as very excited, we had a little celebration at the gate for the flight , champagne pasties etc and lots of goodies to celebrate. seats were ok, lots of legroom , my oldest son is 5ft 11 and he had no complaints. seat width was ok to, food was surprisingly good for airline food, felt as though we had lots to eat , served starbucks onboard too. the cabin crew were nice. Overhead lockers were very spacious and definately a much more roomy feeling about the whole aircraft. Toilets were ok , doors strange to open at first as they sort of open from the middle, felt toilet was small, light comes on when door is locked . Only one choice of meal though kids meals were served. mood lightning was pretty neat too and we definately did not feel as jetlagged out or return journey. Liked the fact the plane landed before 1.30 local time and we were through customs and on the road in jig time . Return journey the food was plentiful but not as good as way out. again everything else was the same. our seats were 14 ab 15 ab outbound the same on the opposite side . our seats has window view, which are bigger, the dimmer is cool although we wanted to watch the sunset on the way home but couldnt weren't allowed.
Think thats was all the important stuff. Premium seats looked huge, the back row though didnt appear to have windows though but couldnt confirm that for defo.
Any other questions just ask .

Cheryl
