DREAMing, some MAGIC and a little bit of Paris! Trip report link!

Day 3, February 17 - Nassau

Guess we can sleep in a little, then watch the ship be docked in Nassau

before heading downstairs to the Royal Palace for breakfast. Eggs Benedict

and Big Breakfast,

here we come. After we have thoroughly enjoyed our first breakfast on board we will return to our stateroom and get out the things we will need for a short visit to Nassau to do some shopping.

I guess we will most likely just hop over to the Straw Market, have a stroll through and then do some rum and rum cake shopping at the Bacardi store and at the Tortuga rum company.
Shopping done we will return to the ship to unload our goodies,

hand out round two of our Fish Extender gifts and then head to the Royal Palace for lunch.

After lunch we might take another stroll into Nassau,

maybe even walk up to the Queen’s Staircase. I guess this afternoon there will be the Captain’s reception for Gold and Platinum Castaway Club Members, so we will definitely be back for that.

Once that is over we will watch the ship sail out of Nassau

and enjoy a drink of the day. Later we will chill a little in our stateroom before heading to our rotation restaurant for dinner.

After dinner we will either head back to our stateroom, or enjoy a nightcup in one of the bars before calling it a day.

Trust me...this one is a NEVER. Mark detests the place. And since he pays for these trips with his umpping, I won't argue with him on this one.

Okay, that changes things! :thumbsup2

Great plans Karin
It's so close to your trip now, I can't wait to hear what you think of the GF Villas
Kathy - my hubby is the same, he really dislikes the GF :(

Thank you, Linda!
I still can't wrap my head around the fact that we will be back to the US in just two more weeks. :cloud9:

To be honest the GF isn't my first choice either, but staying there gets one more thing off my bucket list. :rotfl2:

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!

Finally we can say we are going back to the US, WDW and DCL THIS month!!

We will be on our way in just two weeks.

pixiedust: Single digit dancing will start next week! pixiedust:

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Yay! I can also say I am going back to WDW this month! Even though its at the end of the month!:banana::banana:

Love your plans for the day. I MUST have the eggs benedict. It looks SO delish!

Time is flying Karin, have a great time and I can't wait to hear all about your trip. I wish we were able to go on a cruise this year but it looks like we won't be. I will have to wait a year and a half or so. It will be worth it! Mick got me a Chamilia Minnie bracelet and some beads for Christmas and I can't wait to go on a cruise again so I can buy a DCL bead. :)

Your plans for Nassau Day sound wonderful and of course Eggs Benedict is the PERFECT way to start the day !!!!

Missing you again by a few days, but one of these days ...........

You have to try the Eggs Benedict on your cruise one day, Mary Ellen. I never have anything like it at home, so they spell vacation to me. ;)

Yes, time IS flying by and again I am so not prepared. :rotfl2:
I am keeping my fingers crossed we might be able to cruise together in 2015.

Oh, and you better warn Mick - there are SEVERAL Chamilia DCL beads and you need them ALL! :goodvibes

I knew you would agree on the Eggs Benedict, Rosie! :goodvibes
We have been to Nassau so many times, but we still love to do a little rum shopping and window shopping. ;)

Day 4, February 18 - Castaway Cay

A day in paradise is in our future. We will get up in good time to be ready at 8am and then head down to the Royal Palace. We will enjoy a nice hot breakfast there

and somehow I see more Eggs Benedict

in my future.
After breakfast we will return to our stateroom to put on our Cabana bracelets and to pick up our daybag before heading down and getting off the ship.

I guess we will take the tram to the first stop, then walk over to the shopping area and pick up some souvenirs if there is something new we like before heading to the next tram stop to head out to Serenity Bay.

We will check in for our cabana and will then be driven there in a golf cart. I guess, our cabana host will give us the tour of the Cabana

and soon we will be able to stretch out a bit on the comfortable loungers.

If the weather permits we will take a dip in the ocean for a while

and then quickly change into dry clothes, order some drinks from the bar and enjoy more time in the sun.
Around noon we will just walk along the water’s edge to the Castaway Air Bar and then after a stop at the restrooms we will head over to the buffet. Once we have stuffed ourselves with lovely salads, grilled fish and burgers

and maybe a nice chocolate chip cookie and some fruit we will either agree to be driven back to our cabana by our stateroom host, or we will just walk along the water’s edge again.

Again, if the weather permits we will again take a dip in the ocean and swim a bit before heading back to the cabana, getting changed again and sit out on the deck with another nice adult drink.

I guess, time will just fly by and it will far too soon be time to pack up and head to the tram back to the ship.

Once back on board we will both take a shower, order some room service food and sit out on our balcony and enjoy the rest of the time we have at the island and then enjoy the view while we sail away from Castaway Cay.
And soon it will be time to get ready for dinner at Palo. I have booked an early dinner time, so we might get a table by the window and will have time to digest, as tonight will be pirate night and they always offer a tasty late night buffet. After a few nice courses of Italian food

we will return to our stateroom to chill for a while, maybe we will go to one of the bars for a nice drink, or we will just finish off the bottle of bubbly DCL will give us as our Castaway Club gift.
We will head up to the top deck for the pirate fireworks

and after that we will pick up a few bits and pieces from the pirate buffet,

before we return to our stateroom and sit on the veranda enjoying the late night snack. I guess all that eating and enjoyment of Castaway Cay will have made us tired by then and we will soon head back inside and have a good night’s rest.

Karin, I'd like to be transported to either the Castaway cabana or VGF..not picky..either one :upsidedow:beach:

When is single digit dancing???:cool1::cheer2::cool1:

It's getting so close. I wish ours was closer too!

Yours will be here before you know it, Jen! Like always, once we hit the double digits time just flew by. :thumbsup2

Jeanette, you are welcome to both. :thumbsup2

Single digit dancing will start on Thursday - I can't believe that in two weeks time we will walk the streets of Nassau! :cloud9:

Your plans thus far sound AMAZING!

Can't believe it will be single digits tomorrow! I'm so excited and happy for you!:cool1::banana: I'm especially excited to see your photos of the lake view from the Grand Floridian!

Hi Karin....It's been awhile since I've read your TR. Rachel was home for 6 weeks so I spent all my free time with her. :)

The Christmas decorations at DLRP look awesome.

I can't believe you will be in Disney and on the Dream in a few weeks. I can't wait to hear about your stay at the Grand Floridian Villas. Looking forward to pictures. I could use some sunshine, paradise and a konk kooker right about now. The winter we are having is a terrible one.

Hit the single digits today!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Jedijill for the info. It does look very nice and will research some more.
I have decided not to stay on property and I booked at http://www.hotels.com/hotel/details...001_H1099.000.000_H1121.001.000_H1237.001.001
Like you said it is a place to sleep and it is really close to Disney.

You’re plans for arrival sound great.
The ship plans sound like fun.

The Residhome is quite nice. We have not stayed there yet, but I have researched it. Not sure about the shuttle service (they are not very reliable) but you are close to Val d'Europe and I think you can catch a train from there. Or even if you take a taxi it won't break the bank. ;)

Thank you, I need to get the rest of my plans up, so you will be able to follow along. ;)

YES, we hit the single digits today. 6 more days of work and then we will be on our way.
I promise to take a lot of photos of the VGF! :thumbsup2

No problem, Elaine, sometimes there is just not enough DIStime in a day and I know how precious your time with Rachel is.

We really were impressed with the Christmas decorations at DLRP.

We will be back at Disney in just 9 short days. Once we hit the double digits time just flew by.
I did see some images of the NY area and it does not look "fun" with all the snow. We had a bit ourselves, but thankfully most of it melted away again, but we both cannot wait for some Florida sunshine. :goodvibes

Day 5, February 19 - Day at sea

Today we CAN truly sleep in. Given that fact and knowing us, we will probably be up by 7am. :rotfl2:
I guess we will spend some time on the veranda with some coffee (or Coke) before taking showers and I guess I will start packing up things. About 9.45 we will get ready for brunch at Palo.
Once we have been taken to a table there they will invite us to a walk around the buffet

before leaving us with an empty plate in hand. Guess it will not take us very long to fill that plate,

return to our table and enjoy this great buffet. After that first plate a pizza will be on the menu,

might be one to share before we will order some nice main courses.

And even though we will be pretty stuffed by then, we will pay the desserts a visit. You can’t leave without sampling the dessert buffet, can you?

I guess around midday we will leave the restaurant and head back to our stateroom to change into something more comfortable before giving out the last of our Fish Extender gifts.
And after a little rest I hope we will be able to join one of the tastings they usually do on sea day.

In the afternoon we will head up to the top deck to enjoy another adult beverage/drink of the day and hopefully some sunshine.

Then it will be time to do some shopping before packing up most of our stuff. We will have dinner at our rotation restaurant,

then return to our stateroom to put our dinner clothes into the suitcase and put those outside. Sad, very sad!
And since this will be our last night on board we will head to one of the bars for a farewell drink

before chilling some more on the veranda and then going to bed.
