And i'm looking at possibly staying in a studio.
But not sure if standard would be better or lake view.
It will only be DH and me .
Or would a 1 bedroom be even better??.
What did you most like about the rooms at GF?
TIA:tink:

Lake view faces the Poly, standard faces the senses spa building or the GF. If you are room lovers, a 1 bedroom is a nice extra.

I have been looking at all of the view pictures and it seems that some standard views are actually better for watching the fireworks! We will be doing a 2 bedroom next summer and selection standard view.

I'm trying to request the ##25 rooms to see if I can see the fireworks from 2bedrooms standard view.

The point schedule at VGF is crazy high...I would definitely go the standard view route. We did that and could see some of Wishes from our balcony as well as a nice view of the monorail. We did a 1BR which was a definite splurge...it was a great stay but based on the point requirements we won't be doing that again. But it's definitely a beautiful resort with the great monorail access to two parks.

Sorry it took me so long to get back and reply.
I'm heading back to Disney next month and going over to GF to see if they'll let me take a peek at a 1 bed and a studio.
Thank you all so much for you input.

We have stayed in one and two bedrooms, no studios. We stayed once in lakeview, then started staying in standard view. I didn't think lake view was worth it. The standard views have been very nice. Twice we looked out over the parking lot to the golf course and lots of trees, another time we had the best view of the water towards the pool area. Requesting a top floor is important to avoid looking onto the roof over the main entrance.

We like the larger units because they have a full beautiful kitchen, much nicer than mine. They also have a washer and dryer that comes in handy since we only use a carry on. We usually only go into the parks once during a week's stay, so having the space and cooking facilities works for us.

It's a beautiful resort, and I'm sure the studios are great too.

We had a lake view 2 bedroom lock off June 2014, was shocked to get it at the 7 month, loved it, we faced the wedding pavilion and poly. I think we posted pictures of the view in the resort section. We would've taken whichever one was available, but we had ten, and needed the lock off...my daughters didn't like the GV, thankfully so we saved points, no issue with the space, but I thought the kitchen area was small, and the master bath almost the same size as the kitchen.
