'Dreamed 3 times in 6 days...

I thought I would share the details of our luck last week.

Our first day in the park was Tuesday and at about 10.30 am coming of POTC, they were just inside the exit handing out Dream Fastpasses. We were very surprised to get this on our first visit to the Park. I was very pleased to discard my Ridemax programme for the day.

Last Sunday, our final day in the Parks, we were coming off BTMR around 10.40 am and there they were again, just inside the exit handing out the Dream Fastpasses.

Later that day we were over in CA (using our Dream Fastpass on Mulholland Madness) and as we were exiting...the Dream People had just arrived at 3.45 pm (I saw them check their watch before they opened their bag) and we were all handed the special 2008 Year of a Million Dream Ears...We saw them on people earlier in the week and enquired where we could buy them from and we were told you can't - they are only given out by the Dream Team if you are lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

Wish our luck with YOMD extended to the lottery...I was talking to a couple on Sunday morning who asked me where we got the Dream Fastpass...he said that he and his wife are at Disneyland all the time and have never received anything...

That's awesome. I would say you've beat the odds! We were there for 10 days and we weren't dreamed once and only saw people with dream fastpasses on the last day of our trip, so you are lucky indeed.

I have been to DL 4 times and DCA twice in the last year and haven't even seen them giving out anything. I've only seen a Dream Team member once!

I've got you beat. We go to Disneyland and DCA almost every weekend since the Dreams promotion started over a year ago and we've never gotten anything.

We've also had 3 trips to WDW (total of 30 days) since "The Year of Million Dreams" started and we haven't been dreamed there either.

I've seen the dream tream people a lot and have even talked to them. But we haven't won anything yet .

We were 'dreamed' twice when we were there in December. Both times we were walking out of Fantasyland thru the exit to the right. We received the lanyards with the pins. The first time was be chance. (My husband and boys were waiting for me by the restrooms for theRancho Del Zocalo restaurant and saw the Dream Squad) The second time we saw them getting ready to hand them out another day and won them again. It was pretty cool though--we were able to give the extra lanyards my husband and I had to two little girls we did the Discover the Magic Tour with. That way they had something special too

We must be lucky......of the three trips we took iin 2007 we won on all three trips. The first one being fastpasses and pictures, second trip: lanyards in DTD and third trip we won fastpasses and dream ears within 5 min. of each other.

We won Dream FP's two days in a row during our Nov. trip. Too bad the parks were so empty we couldn't really use them!

We've been to DL/DCA a total of 11 days during the YOMD, but haven't won anything, nor have we seen the Dream Team.

However, when DH and I went on our first "adults only" trip last year, which happened to also be our first ever trip to WDW, we won Dream Fastpasses at Animal Kingdom.

This might sound dumb, but I don't know very much about the "dream team". Do they walk around and pick certain people to give prizes to? Do they just wait for people to notice them and give prizes if you come up to them?

Oh man...that's not good!! All those days and NOTHING!! We went twice last year (from Nor. Calif. so we don't go often) but the first trip in June was for 3 days and my daughter got a pin and a spare to give to another little girl she deemed special enough for it...that was so cute as it happened our first few minutes in the park at the hat shop.

The second happend the next trip...we were in CA and just past Soarin' heading up towards Grizzly when there were two dream team members handing out the fast passes. That was a treat!

Hope you get dreamed soon...you deserve it going that many times!!

We saw the dream team last year as we were getting off Alice In Wonderland. We were still in the car right at the exit getting off. We saw them handing out something so we hurry to get off and they turn around and I kid you not DISSAPEAR!!! It was like in a blink of they were gone. I know they have CM areas to go into, but this was just bizarre how they were there one minute and gone the next. Just more Disney Magic I guess.

It is totally random.

They are pre-scheduled to be at a certain place at a certain time on a certain day. My understanding and our experience has been that it is not possible to go up to them if you see them. Often they are inside the exit of an attraction, so only those who are exiting an attraction will come across the Dream Team. This was our experience on all three occassions - inside the exits of POTC, BTMR and Mulholland Madness. If you saw people coming out of an attraction with a prize, you would not have time to get through the attraction and still find them there when you exited.

The Dream Fastpasses must be given out early in the day for them to be of any benefit (they have a fast pass tab for every fast pass attraction at both parks). We received ours on both days, within 30 to 40 minutes of offical park opening, coming off POTC and BTMR. We never saw them during our 6 days in the park apart from coming across them at the three attraction exits where we received our prizes.

There were always two of them handing out prizes.

Received quite a few wins in DCA, but only a few in DLR, which surprises me when most of you have won at DLR.

If anyone is looking for tips, go early and go to DCA. Here's where I've won fast passes/ears:

GCH DCA entrance x 5
Monster's INC x 2
Hollywood Picture Studios x1
Pacific Wharf x2

I've only won a fast passes outside Pinocchio's, set of ears outside Tiki Room, and lanyard and fast passes next to Snow White.. So I'm not sure about the odds... If this seems like a lot, it's not really. I go pretty often, so it averages out. Wish I could get the fast passes on an actual busy day though..
