dream villas ? anyone stayed here?

We are planning a trip in august for a large family reunion and my family is staying at CBR, due to my just being laid off, I can still do this if I stay offsite, has anyone stayed here and would you recommend it or not? I appreciate your help, I have a friend who stayed offsite in a condo and had a terrible experience and is trying to talk me out of it.

They look great and are very reasonably priced (esp. for a family of 5 who's having a harder and harder time staying ON site!

Just a quick comment here - one person's experience cannot speak for the whole! Just as there are people who've had a "terrible experience" ON property, it certainly doens't mean it's an awful place to stay! There are far more good experiences. We've never stayed off-site while at Disney, but we have rented a condo on vacation elsewhere and had a wonderful time. It was great to really have a "home" to come back to at the end of a busy day. Plus we all got to spread out instead of being cramped in one room. Renting a condo has many, many benefits and it's just a matter of doing one's homework and getting references or good word of mouth (thus the DIS boards!!).

So, don't give up the idea just because of one bad experience!
