We've just cruised both in the past month, and enjoyed comparing the little differences between the ships. But one thing really surprised us, and both my wife and I came to the same conclusion independently.
On the Fantasy, we thought the food at Cabanas was really good, very fresh and tasty. But on the Dream, we found many of the same dishes to be much poorer in quality and taste.
However, we found just the opposite to be true for the main dining rooms. On the Fantasy, we found many dishes lacking flavor, the bread to be pretty uniformly hard and nearly stale, and had very few items that we enjoyed. But on the Dream, we thought the food in the main dining rooms was great - fresh, tasty, and really enjoyable throughout.
I suppose this may have just been a quirk of the particular cruises we sailed on, but it made me wonder about whether the food prep processes differ on the two ships, or if these sorts of things are chef-dependent.
