Dream Thanksgiving cruise Nov 23, 2015

Where are you staying? We're thinking of staying at Wilderness Lodge the Sat and Sun night before!

So you are not going to Universal? We went this Oct and the new part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is amazing! DH said that the Gringotts ride might be the best ride he has ever ridden! The girls loved casting spells with their interactive wands and visiting Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. You have to ride the Hogwarts Express it's just like the movie! Here's a tip: I prefer frozen butterbeer to regular butterbeer. :thumbsup2

No, the boys decided they wanted to do 2 days at WDW and not Universal. I would have liked to see the HP section of Studios because this past Thanksgiving we went to Islands of Adventure and saw the section there. Oh well, they are the bosses!!! I'm just glad the cats out of the bag and can't believe we kept that secret for 5 months!!

I just booked our hotel for the three nights before the cruise for the entire gang. OKW for now but I plan to change it to AKL when it is available to me. OKW is our backup right now.

January is the busy time for booking cruises. I wonder if we will get an increase in families joining this thread during that time? The more the merrier!

Can't wait to start working on our FE stuff!! Only problem is that I have no idea how many gifts I'll need!! Last time we had to set a cutoff date for signing up for the FE. I think that's a good idea so that it will give us time to get everything together. I'm thinking probably one to two months before we sail, what do you think? Also, in one of the earlier posts I had posted a spreadsheet but it is not allowed. We can't have links to google docs or fb on here.

I have already started getting some stuff together for the FE but just like you I have no idea how many things I am going to need. On the last cruise I was on we ended up having to divide the FE participants into two groups. We still had about 27-30 cabins in each group! I agree that a cutoff date is a good idea. How about we compromise and say 6 weeks before the cruise date? I will continue to keep track of the cabins on the first post.

Hello fellow cruise peeps! Love the Thanksgiving cruises! See you soon!

I have a question for cruisers who have done the Holiday cruises.
Is it worth the extra money to cruise during holiday time?
I think it will be otherwise I wouldn't have booked!
While talking to friends and family members about this cruise I have been getting some flak about how expensive it is to go at that time. This is only from people who have never cruised Disney so they couldn't begin to understand.
I would like to hear some other opinions about the subject.
:)

Our first cruise! So excited! We would like to be added to the FE group. DH
We just booked this cruise this morning. We have been waiting for Disney to release the dates! :cool1:
We are a family of four with two girls who will be aged 16 and 10 by the time we cruise. My brother and his family will be joining us along with my mom and her husband. Possibly more families will join us. I am looking forward to seeing the ship, island and WDW dressed up for Christmas. I have never been to WDW at Christmas. :cheer2:
