Hi all,

Ok, so since DH has discovered we can purchase the Francillien AP by post (to avoid the 2 day blackout), he's been weighing up the pros and cons of ordering a higher level AP (so much for saving money!). We need the AP to cover a one day trip this May (22nd) AND a week long trip around the 20th - 24th March 2016.

Although the first time we got APs the queue in the AP Office was non-existent, I think we were lucky, and I don't think I want to risk wasting our one and only day this May queuing to get our AP.

So, we're thinking of still doing it by post (as most people on here have had no problems doing it this way) but DH can't resist the freebies and higher discounts with the Dream pass. So a few questions:

1. Has anyone ordered the Dream AP via post (ie. same method as Francillien)? Everything ok?

2. I take it that the above is really the ONLY way to buy annual passes ahead of the day nowadays??

3. With possible price increases due beginning of April (maybe! Last year it was July.....!), when should I send off the form to a) still get this year's prices and b) so it still covers both trips? I have an idea but would love other people's suggestions!

Many thanks all!

1. Yes. No problems whatsoever. Note that the pass is sent back regular mail (at least it was for me), so I hope you have a reliable postman.

2. Yes. I am not sure if the website ordering still works, but that was for French residents only anyway.

3. I'd get it in the mail Friday at the latest. Mine took about a week to get processed.

Great, thank you, THIS Friday?? lol

Yes, this Friday. Mail won't make it to France before Monday at the very earliest and that's the 23rd of March already. Processing in a day won't happen and you need a valid pass until March 24 next year. As some people have reported bad processing times I'd not wait much longer than March 24 this year.

What date were you thinking of?

It doesn't matter if she mails it later for the expiration date, the pass will be valid AT LEAST until 24th of March then, but possibly longer which is no problem. It only matters that she receives it in time for her May trip.
You need to count 8-9 weeks between you sending your mail and receiving your pass in the mailbox so when going in May I'd indeed mail it ASAP to be safe. Some people have received there passes in 2 weeks or less but better safe than sorry.

I thought she was worried about not getting up to the expiration date she needs, that's what I meant.

Plus there's this rumored price increase in April, so I'd definitely get it out now.

You're both right, thank you! I'll be looking at the form (with the help of Google Translate!) today!!
