Dream: May 22, 2011

I am using a TA also!! She told me that as soon as she gets them she will send them out!! I guess TA people are last on the list!! :confused3

Considering this is my first cruise. I went with someone who knows more than I do! I'm okay not having ALL the control.....plus why not let someone make some money off disney?

:thumbsup2 I will always use a TA. I only want one person to deal with. When we planned a WDW last year I did it myself in the beginning and got so many different answers from the CM. It was really frustrating. Let my TA deal with all that!!! ;)

We love to hear that ;) And I'm using the "Royal We" of course :rotfl:

But seriously, I might put in a call or drop an email to your TA. DCL does send them out in waves, but I'm surprised you don't have them yet. Mine got in to our central office more than a week ago.

We booked direct thru DCL for one cabin and DVC for the other. DCL docs came a day or two ahead of the DVC docs.

I cannot believe how close we are to sailing!@!@

my to do list:

draw up a packing list
pack
figure out how to tactfully relabel mark's fe pockets for our group w/black cloth hockey tape :rotfl:
finish the fe project
reconfirm hotel rsvps for the road trip down and back
decide if we're parking at ci&s or the port
cancel the airport hyatt
cancel the comfort inn at atlantis
cancel palo dinner rsvp on the dream
scale back one night on ci&s (for one of the rsvps)
look into overseas trip ins. (unless it's too late)
figure out if/how much cash we need while onboard (tips/etc...)
sell my first born to pay for all the stuff we booked
printout gasbuddy.com "fuel my trip" planner (day of)
buy epic dvds the likes of Gone With the Wind or Cleopatra to entertain Gus and Edith for 16 hrs of highway. (they've already seen Planet Earth)

I know i'm forgetting several things.

I miss my treehouse:sad:

but heck! I'm on the May Dreamers Double Deuce Cruise!!!! Life is good!!!

Prayers are needed. Georges' sister had a heart attack and is in the ICU. Please think of them tonight.

PI, don't forget to bring JIM.:thumbsup2
I saw on the boards somwhere that at CI&S now charge $4 pp to use the shuttle......do you think that is true?
Forget that,...... I am just going to park in the multi-level-garage at the port. Then we will just have to fight those 3,997 people just once.
DW wants now to stay over at OKW that first nite and hook up with DS, Dennis who is planning to come over from Clearwater that SAT......will see, I'll let you guys know. And if It does turn out that way , we will see everyone at the MEET & GREET at CURRENTS BAR -deck 13 forward @ 3pm SUN.
OH! ,PI, before I forget, speaking of Insurance, once Gus and Edith ship out ,they no longer have Medicare insurance coverage.I always buy DCL insurance.

Naomi:
Tell them they are in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing her a full recovery.

I believe that if you booked the Cruise and Park option/reservation, the parking and shuttle are included in the nightly fee. IF you booked just a regular room, you would then need to pay for the shuttle, thus the $4 per person charge.

OhOh, maybe no hushpuppies for you!!!! But seeing your son will more than make up for it.;)

Hi Don,
Gus and Edith did purchase DCL insurance, thanks for the advice.

We will miss you at the pool party.:sad2: I guess we'll have to give you a pass since it's your son. Unless he drives all the way to the port!!! Then we get to meet him too!!! Oh well....we would do the same thing, given the opportunity. Heck, we just drove 16hrs each way to see Ironman Mark, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

hey. havent been on here for several days. our town had 5 or 6 tornados touchdown this week on the same day. we and my family are very fortunate to be ok. none of our homes were damaged. 6 miles from my home, so many homes leveled, trees snapped in half and roots pulled out of ground, cars are missing from some homes, power still out in over half the town. about 3 miles from my home we only lost trees and in my area we had some trees down mostly limbs from trees everywhere. this place looks like a war zone literally. and appliances are laying everywhere. you can not imagine how this looks til you see it for yourself. 9 people lost their lives in our town alone. we only was without power 1 1/2 days. some will be without power 3 weeks or so predicted. school will be out at least through next week because no power and several schools may be damaged beyond repair. governor has issued a state of emergency here. can not count my blessings enough..

So glad to hear that all is well with you and yours. We have been watching the news and it is just horrible!! We kind of go through the same thing here with the hurricanes but we at least get a couple of weeks notice. Our thoughts and prayers are with your community!!

Tracey and family xx

Melmathis: I've been wondering how our "dis" friends in the areas of those tornado's were doing, and praying that none have been part of the devistation. Glad you guys are OK.
I can't even imagine what it would be like to be in areas that were totally demolished by those storms. It's horrible.:sad1:
