Dream July 27, 2012 5 night

We were on the veranda when my DD came out and said someone was knocking at the door a few minutes ago. I opened the door and saw new FE stuff. There were people walking down the hall but I didn't say anything to them as I was not sure if they were FE friends or not. I was trying to interpret how long "a few minutes ago" would be according to my DD.

Who arranged the character signed photo mat? DDs loved it.

DDs actually loved everything they received in the FE. Even my DH, who wasn't really into it originally, said it was "neat" to come back to the room and find little treats.

Haha!! I thought my DH arranged the photo mat, thank you for clearing that up, he thought DCL did it for my birthday. Thank you to whomever did that for us. . I truly loved everything we received. It was so much fun to find treats waiting for us everyday. .

We are having Disney withdrawals; therefore, we are going to Blizzard Beach tomorrow.

The joys of living in Florida, I'm jealous. Unfortunately you have to pay for the chicken fingers there. We enjoyed Pelican Plunge at Castaway Cay, first time we have done that. With the exception of the salt water up the nose upon hitting the water.

By the way, who did I open the door while they were putting FE stuff at the door. I looked back and had very poor manners and didn't introduce myself. I had just got done dealing with a melt down by one of my daughters and I wasn't thinking properly. Sorry about that.

P - Ha! That was us... The Perryman clan... and we were not in any way offended when you opened the door on us. My kids were kidding around about the "stealth" FE activities... and then the door opened - priceless!
We enjoyed it all - sad we didn't meet many of you... we were newbies and a bit overwhelmed by the options!!

We also wanted to thank everyone for all the FE gifts! My girls LOVED coming back to find treasures! We hope everyone enjoyed the water bottles- for the late cabins I tried to at least get you water bottles for the kids. I didn't have time to order more, sorry!

I messed up on the photo mat!! We thought someone had put the wrong stateroom on it when they dropped it off so I took it back to guest services haven't tried to call DCL to see if they'd send it to us but probably too late now. I had wanted a photo mat too but decided against it since we dropped off 3 pillowcases too.

Wishing I'd convinced DH to do another booking...

The boat comes back tomorrow. You should try guest services and see if it can be sent to you. I would bet it was still there. Sorry I wish there was some way I could have put who it was from. I had to guess at spellings on everyone last names, because guest services were hesistant to give it out and was kindof mumbling the names. I had just staterooms on it, but they needed last names to be able to fulfil the order.

Hello Everyone,

Just want to say Thank you to everyone and your FE gifts. They are amazing and definitely gave this newbie some ideas for our next round. Yes, we enjoyed our first ever Disney cruise so much our whole family rebook on board!

The FE exchange made the kids and my mom so happy, excited and amuse with each and every gifts. Which made my mom's 61th birthday extremely memorable. Especially since my grandma couldn't make it last minute. So, the FE (which she had no idea of) was truly a surprise for her. All the extra personal touches everyone gave was wonderful. I was bit worry about her when my grandma decided not to go due to cold. Nothing you can say with a 83yrs old woman, right?! So, I truly want to thank everyone for making it extra fun for her.

I do apologize for not making it to the meeting a 3pm. Embarking at 1:30 was bit tricky to get everything in order. I blamed the kids and getting them into set up for the kids club. By the time we're done (we even split into two team to get them settle! Talk about team work!! LOL) it was 3:45pm. Was kinda bum! Well, I did get a glimpse of our neighbor Pjc every now and then! The photo matte a total hit with our family! My SIL was so surprised. She was speechless when she saw it!! She thought I did it.

Hi everyone!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of the wonderful FE gifts. It was so much fun receiving them, and the personalization of it all is so meaningful (and we cannot wait to put one of our pictures in the photo mat. LOVE IT!)

I really wished we could have made it to the gtg, but we were making spa appointments and then trying to calm my son down about the upcoming muster drill (he doesn't deal well with the anticipation of the horn whistles).

This was our 5th cruise -- 3rd on Disney, and we all felt it was the best cruise we've ever been on! We couldn't have dreamed of better weather and seas... it was just an amazing trip. I only took about 2,000 pictures, which I'm weeding through now (I have a picture-taking illness. I have a horrible long-term memory and I feel like having the entire trip documented will always help me remember ... lol)

The flight home was delayed (but more so for my BIL/SIL, who also happened to be in Orlando at the same time and were booked on the flight right before ours.... ours was only delayed about 2 hours... their was canceled and then delayed 12 hours)... reality has come crashing back with work and life all around.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a wonderful trip... and I'm glad I at least got to meet Jacquie at the martini tasting... SO MUCH FUN!

Also got an email from DCL yesterday and they have the photo mat and are shipping it to me!!!!!

DH is not as big of a Disney nut as I am but the first thing he said was "That's the difference between Disney and other companies".
