Dream July 27, 2012 5 night

Hi everyone!

Sorry! I have been reading the exchanges from our group, but I didn't realize that I wasn't logged in so I didn't see the private message. And then when I just tried to reply to the private message, I couldn't either for the same reason.

We are definitely still participating in the FE. All of the info you have for us is still correct and both cabins will be participating. My child is a boy.

Our FE gifts are going to be by cabin so if possible we really need to know how many total cabins there are so we can finalize our gifts.

Thanks so much!

Looking forward to meeting everyone! Can't believe it's almost here! :cool1:

Cindy

Thanks Cindy -- and to everyone who has responded so far.

I assumed that when sending a PM that people would get a notification e-mail, but maybe not everyone has.

I'm still waiting to hear on:
Cinnamomum
disneydizzy2
Galatea
Pat Hill
pharmama

So far the following families are participating:
cctimmom
cshaw
jacquieone
LAKDARMom
pjc4925

Work got crazy for me for a bit and I forgot to check this thread or login so I didn't see Julie's message...but I replied to her earlier this week. We are in but just for my family (2 adults, 3 DDs). I think its probably a bit much for my in-laws. ;)

Yes - cinnamomum is into the fe. Hubby, me (cinnamon) son (9) daughter (5). We are in room 7554. Yea!

Hi everyone.... I'm getting ready to run out so I can't update the graphic that I have been posting but right now it stands that we have 7 families participating in the FE:
cctimmom
Cinnamomum
cshaw
jacquieone
LAKDARMom
pharmama
pjc4925

I have not heard back from Galatea or Pat Hill. Why don't we say that the ball is being called on Monday. If I don't hear from them, and/or if no one new joins the roll call, we will consider it final come Monday and I will post final.

Does anyone think that Brave will be playing on our cruise, roughly a month after the June 22 opening at the theater?

We are trying to decide if we should see it in June or wait until July 13 to see if it's going to play on our cruise.

I would guess it will be playing... but I don't know for sure. Someone posted on the main board if it will be playing on the day it is released, and everyone is saying it does play at midnight the day it's released. Since there aren't any other new Disney releases, I would venture to guess that it will still be playing a month later.

I asked this question on the main board and consensus seemed to be that it would still be playing (like cctimmom said). They were still playing Muppets this spring months after its release...

I'm going to be in BIG trouble with DD1 and DD2 if its not....:rotfl:

I was asking about Navigators on the main board and someone pointed me to a recent (like 3 days ago) post/trip report that includes navigators for our same itinerary. The only other ones I'd been able to find were from last year so I'm very excited to see these and thought I'd share.

Cindy (cshaw)... your 3 adults -- how many men vs. women? I'm going back and forth with myself between doing cabin gift vs. gender/individual FE. Just in case, I figured I'd ask now. I guessed above, but please let me know if I'm wrong.

Hi there!

I know the FE is closed, but we just decided to add our 21-year-old daughter to our reservation. Is it too late to add her to our cabin? If it is, no worries. I just thought I'd ask.

Here's how our cabins break down now:

Cabin 7069 - 2 Adults (1 male and 1 female)
Cabin 7071 - 2 Adults (2 females) and 1 child (male, 12-years old)

Thanks!

Cindy

Have you signed on and checked your reservation lately? I was signing on to see which night was pirate night (DH and I have Palo reservations one night and DDs don't want to miss the pirate night). My concern is this - our reservations used to say 5 night cruise - Itinerary A. Now it shows Itinerary C, with only 4 days/3 nights and no stop in Nassau. Does anyone else see that?

Must be a website glitch. I called DCL and they have no knowledge of any itinerary changes. While on the phone, the CM told me pirate night would be the fourth night, our day at sea.

Be warned, however, that on the main boards, a June cruise group was also trying to determine which night was their pirate night. Upon returning from the cruise, they posted that they had been given inaccurate info on the phone. The website had been correct in their case. :confused3

wow... I just went in and it is showing "Itinerary C"...

when we booked it was PC, Nassau, Castaway Cay, Sea, Castaway Cay, PC

now it's showing PC, Castaway Cay, Nassau, Sea, Castaway Cay, PC (so Nassau and 1st Castaway Cay were swapped)... still 5 Nights...

Cindy -- I will update the list with your addition, but it will be up to each participant to decide if they can accommodate the addition (I would think if an order has been placed they may not be able to, but if someone is making something, they may be able to....)

Phyllis... I have been stalking my mailbox for two days and zippo :confused3

I'm so anxious... squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

(does your trip docs say anything about an itinerary change?)

Thanks, Julie! I completely understand about the FE.

I haven't received my cruise docs yet either. I too have been stalking my mailbox!

I did notice that the Disney Cruise Line website has been acting up the last few days. This could explain the itinerary issues. I had to call them the other night to book some last minute excursions for our last minute additional guest and couldn't even get into this area. The cast member had to book these over the phone for me. Unfortunately, I found out that all of the bike rentals for Castaway Cay are completely sold out. Hopefully, everyone was able to book this if they wanted it.

I also noticed last week that at one point they had changed our "5 night cruise" to a "7 night cruise." I think they definitely have some gremlins on their site.

Yes, I was surprised when we received our stuff in the mail. I wasn't expecting it for another few weeks, as I had read that it would arrive about 2 weeks before we leave. The booklet show the itinerary as PC, Castaway Cay, Nassau, Sea, Castaway Cay, PC. This is the same as what the website showed when we booked in January, although it was called itinerary A then.

Wow, I can't believe the bikes sold out. I was beginning to the think that the ship might not be extremely full with the Olympics starting and everything. Wishful thinking... at least our family is used to Disney crowds and lines.

hmmmmmmmmmm...when I booked in October, it showed Nassau and then Castaway Cay.

Oh well... since I didn't book anything (especially nothing on my own), I'll just go wherever the ship takes me ... hehe

I have a feeling there will be plenty of bikes to rent at Castaway Cay when you get there. We booked when we got there back in October, and there were TONS of bikes (as you can see from the pics I posted)... I think they only let a certain number of reservations go through ahead of time so they can be sure to have enough for those who decide last minute to rent.
