Ok I am mad because just now I was in a room that some dis person I won't name owned and I asked

"Did anyone get dream items today?"

And I got booted! Just because she didn't get anything for waiting 11 hours! It's her fault for waiting that time just for an item when it's all month.

And now because my friends are camping out in rooms waiting for host they won't come see my new room. Most of the reply were

"Is there a host there?" or
"Is It Full So A Host might come?"

Or lastely

"Sorry im waiting for a host in a room so I can get dream items."

I knew you would post about that..

She was tired of answering the same question over and over.

Give her a break.

Don't take it personally about your friends. But yes, I agree, these items have gone to people's heads. I don't care for them personally, but others are breaking down about them.

Im also mad my friends are getting tied into this

I would not be mad about getting booted, I might have booted if that was the 40th time I heard that question, too.

I would rather get the dream items now so I can spend the rest of the month not worrying and doing other things, so just calm down.

Yes, I booted you. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if you tell me how RUDE I
am for being sick and tired of every Tom, Rich and Harry coming into my
room and the first thing out of their mouths is:

"Did you get a dream today?"

No, I didn't get any dreams today, and I don't like having people ask me every
moment if a Host will show up. I had no clue if a host will show up, and I
can pull at least half a dozen DISers into this thread stating how often I
said:

"No, I don't think hosts will show up." "I wish you all would stop talking about
the dreams."

I snapped because I just wanted everyone to shut the heck up about the
dreams.

I also made a side bet to see whether you'd post on the DIS how mean and
awful I was. I think I won that bet.

I remember that bet! She really got fed up with everyone asking that.. Many of us gave her hugs to cheer her up.

OFF TOPIC: Briar I wanted to tell you he posted it but didn't have a way to find you on vmk!

Same here pls stop asking me, it's really frustrating. If I do win ears I will be wearing them and if I get the room, you know where to find me. Until then I have not won a dream

Yes, I would imagine that, if you enter a room and every person in the room is wearing the same blue ears, then the Dream prize has been awarded to them that day! :rotfl:

I hope people dont mind if i share my feelings here but here goes:
I've Had Enough!!
OK Out of my system. Now let me explain:
My mind is going crazy because EVERY room I enter, I see people asking: " Did you get dream items yet? "
" Have hosts come here yet?! "
" Hosts Come Here! Come Here! "
and many more annoying questions that have to do with Dream Stuff, Host Giving Out Stuff, etc.
Now I think theme is great for the month and I think the hosts have great ideas but the giving out thing is getting out of control. Now the first day was ok, but the second day is getting worse. I think the Dream Items are great and cool but isn't there another idea to give the items to people?
* sigh * I hope the VMK Staff can do something soon or my mind will eventually explode...

Maybe someone who had been in a room previsouly won them in another room? The full room doesn't have to have the ears for 1 person in that room to have them

High five!

Wow. I'm sorry you were booted with no explanation as to why, personally, I think that was wrong.
Briar...I know that it's "your room, your rules" and that's great! But, I think a warning would have been much better than a boot. Sorry. I know it's frustrating to have to answer the same questions over and over again, but it comes with the title. (I tried to warn ya! LOL)
Myself, if I was that frustrated by all the "did you win dreams" questions, I would have either locked my room or went to someone else's room to hang out, or maybe take a vmk break at that point. (I have taken vmk breaks, btw...when running my quests.)
Maybe you could put something in the room info about not having won a dreams prize? Then maybe Jasonpwns would have known he made a mistake in asking that question that everyone is asking.

I did teh same thing last night when, with FIVE minutes to go, all these "instant name" players came in my room and asked the same thing. Not once, not twice, but three and four times each!

When I answer your freaking question the first time, DO NOT ASK THE SAME DANG QUESTION AGAIN! *boot*

This is a different scenario. Jasonpwns asked only once. If he had asked repeatedly, then he would have earned a boot.
I agree, if someone asks the same question more than once, he/she deserves the boot simply for not watching for the response.

Just to clarify he wasn't booted for asking about dreams, but for saying Briar was rude because she was tired of everyone asking her about host/dreams. I was in her room most of the day, she was very cordial to everyone. It was fun and a great cook out! To her credit at least she did not post a room begging for dreams like so many others. It was a long day give her a break!! Oh, and don't take the boot so personally. Boots happen! :)

I know EXACTLY how you feel. At one point yesterday I had to hold it in to keep from snapping same as you. 200+ queue and 50% of them asked "Did staff visit/Are staff coming/Do you know where staff is?"

Thankfully I was able to convince most of them to stop worrying about that since there's still a whole month ahead of us and just to hang out and have fun.

I was in a friend's room tonight though and she was doing the auto-boot for anybody asking if staff was coming or if anybody had gotten dream ears. I think many of us who know better are picking up that attitude.

All right, this seems like the place to say it:

For anyone who is wondering....
- No, i have not received any dream prizes.
- Yes, most of my friends were in a room that i was in line to visit (having NO CLUE why there was a line) when they got ears.
- Yes, I am VERY happy for them.
- No, I did not get in line thinking "omg, a dream prize!" I got in line thinking, "oh wow, I've been gone for 3 days and look, almost everyone is in 1 place. Cool! I will go say hi. Hmm... wonder why there's a line....."
- Yes, I would like some cute blue ears, or a pin, or oh wow! that amazing room, but, I have not received anything and that's okay.
- What IS making me sad however is being constantly asked by many if I got something. It is just a reminder that I have not. Please, if you have won something, realize that those of us who have not are very happy for you. Really, we are. Honest. We just want to share in the fun too - and have not had the chance to join the party yet. Being asked all the time only makes it worse.

Also, I think VMK has found a great way to get ppl to stop playing and just sit. Getting a pirate game going the last 2 days has been quite the challenge. I know, I know, you cant win ears if you are rowing. Funny thing though - rowing is what brings me laughter and fun with friends, the 2 best parts of VMK.

Again, congrats to everyone who has gotten a special something the last few days and good luck to all of us who have not.

- Dreams (still Dreams-less, sort of ironic, huh?)

Well, to be honest, I would have booted him just for being in the room.

Actually that's where I've spent most of my time- IN THE PIRATE LOBBY :) (However on the first day I did visit one of my DIS friends in her lovely room, but that's beside the point) I've found it fairly easy to start a pirate's game actually, and I've been trying to earn up some credits instead of camping out in a room where you don't even know if hosts will visit and BOMBARDED with the usual "Have you won something?" "Did hosts visit you yet?" Oh yea and WHILE I was shooting some fools up with cannon balls lol :happytv:

I EARNED MY FIRST QUEST KIOSK!! WOOT!!

Lol I've never been able to save up that much money before even though I've been playing for about a year and a half :)
But my philosophy is:
Yeah the ears are Totally Wicked Sweet and the Castle Room is Pretty Lava, The Pins Are Nice, but I'd rather rack up some credits then sit around in a guest room with people I don't know begging that a host will come. I mean, come on! (now if it were a bunch of DIS members it would be totally different)
Just My 2 Cents :cool1:
