Dream - Gym and Showers

Is there a cost involved to be able to use the sauna and showers? This would be on the Dream.

There is no charge to use the showers or sauna.

However, there is a "Rainforest Pass" that you can buy by the day or for length of your cruise. This is across from the regular showers/sauna. I wish I had known about this because I would have gotten it - they have additional things available, such as heated tile loungers.

My wife is a huge fan of the Rainforest Spa on the Dream and Fantasy. So much so that she got to our cabana on SB an hour late because she was in the dry sauna overlooking CC both days. That's her happy place on either boat.

That said, you can use the locker room sauna for free if you just want somewhere to sweat and take a shower.

Two things. There is a charge for boot camp which I have done. I think it was 89 for three classes. Also someone mentioned a 4 am workout. I don't think the fitness area opens until 6 am. Could be wrong but I think there is a definitive time when it opens and closes.

That was me that works out at 4am. Thanks for the heads up! I will have a look at the hours when we get on board. We will be on Eastern time and I live on Pacific time, so a 4am EST time would be 1am PST. Ouch! Haha.

I believe the time difference would be the other way around as Eastern Time is 3 hours ahead of Pacific Time.

4am EST would be 7am PST.

Using the showers was by far THE best tip I ever got on the Dis! We had a 3-night cruise on the Dream last month and every morning I would get up early, walk around the empty ship and then take a small bag of bathroom stuff and the day's outfit and use the showers.


The showers were AWESOME. Very large, plenty of hot water, with the rainshower type of shower head.

I highly recommend this. Since there were 4 of us in the room, it helped immensely for me to shower elsewhere. It was ME time and I loved it!

This is what I did too! I used the fitness room a few days but it was so easy heading right over to use the shower after time at the Adult Pool.

You are correct that EST is 3 hours ahead of PST. But you have the times backwards.

4am EST is 1am PST.

Yes - the Wonder also has the self-coded lockers, towels & robes and shower supplies (including razors, IIRC). Both the showers and the gym have no extra charge associated, even tho they are in the spa area of the ship.
There's also a sauna area that I wish I'd been aware of for our Alaska trip - would have been an awesome place to warm back up after the Tracy Arm glacier day!

Would you know if the robes are available to those who use the gym but not the spa?

Yes, they are available to people who use the gym. There was a stack in the changing area.
